三、阅读理解
Do you know that vocabulary(词汇) is more important than grammar If you have good vocabulary, you can communicate successfully, even if the grammar is not completely perfect.
However, one common problem is learning new words and then forgetting them. So when you want to use a new word in a conversation, you can't remember it at that moment. Does this often happen to you The reason for this difficulty is that most students try to learn vocabulary by studying lists and dictionaries and remembering the words. But it may not work if you don't have a very good memory.
The best way to learn vocabulary and remember the words successfully, is to learn new words and use them at once. You can do this with a very simple exercise. Every time you learn a new word, write it down in your vocabulary notebook. Writing is more active than just reading a definition(释义). You should write the word, the definition in English or translation, one example sentence from the article or dictionary and one example sentence that you create.
It's best if your example sentences are true to your life, because this creates a personal connection with the new word. The next day, read your vocabulary notebook again and try to add one more example sentence using the new word. These two simple steps—writing the word and using it at once—help you remember and use new words.

中华优秀传统文化——元宵节 China has developed rapidly in the past few years. But traditional festivals still play an important role in people's life.
The Lantern Festival(元宵节) is such a traditional festival. It falls on the 15th day of the first month of the Chinese lunar calendar. On that day, when a full moon appears in the night sky, it stands for perfection. As an important part of the Spring Festival, it marks the end of the big holiday.
The Lantern Festival has a long history. It has been around since the Han Dynasty(206 BC-220 AD). In ancient China, women hardly had a chance to go outside. But Lantern Festival was different. On this special day, traditional customs allowed young women to go outdoors at night to watch lantern shows.
Besides watching the lantern shows which are beautiful on that day, people can also guess riddles(谜语) written on the lantern's sides. The cultural tours also include dances, stilt walkers(踩高跷) and traditional operas and so on.
The dish of the day people usually have is a small and delicious food called yuanxiao, named after the festival itself. In the south of China, people usually have tangyuan. Families across China also prepare some traditional treats to celebrate the Lantern Festival. This is also the last day of traditional New Year temple fairs(庙会). For many families, after the Lantern Festival, members once again return to cities for work.
Celebrations are different from place to place. But as the tradition passed down, eating yuanxiao or tangyuan is common across the country.
