Step 1 Freetalk T and Ss Talked about our holidays on Labour Day, and Some ss show their pictures in the front.
T:What date is it today
Ss: It’s the 5th of May.
T:What date was it 4 days ago
Ss: It was the 1st of May.
T; Which festival was it on that day
Ss: May Day.
T:Yes.We call it May Day or Labour Day.We had a three days holiday on May Day. Did you enjoy your holiday
Ss: Yes, I did.
T:What did you do in the holiday
Ss: I.....
T; You had a good time. I know you took some pictures in your holidays. Do you want to show them Please talk with your partner about your holiday.(30 secs) T invites three groups of children to come to the front and show their pictures.
Step 2 Pre-reading
1.Look and guess T:Look,Charlie and Cherry took some pictures in their holidays too. When did they take this picture (PPT shows the date directly)
Ss: 17th April. T:That is “when” did they take the pictures(板书when-17th April) This time let’s look at the pictures and guess
1.Where were they
2.Who did they meet (板书 where/who/what)
3.What did they do
Ss: Maybe they went to....../Maybe they met a.....
Step 3 While-reading
1.Watch and choose Where were they
A.On a farm B.in a park C Green Village(板书)
T teaches the new word“ village” and show a picture to help the ss Understand the meaning of village. Who were in Green Village Charlie Cherry a villager and Aunt Ping(板书aunt Ping Charlie and Cherry a villager)
2.Listen and write What did they do
T:Let’s listen and write the numbers in the right blanks.
Ss: C Aunt Ping took us to a field. T teaches the word” took field”
T:What did the children do
Ss: A and D
T:First,they saw some watermelons. (teach saw) Then, they met a villager.(引导学生通过village读villager)
T:What did the villager do
Ss: B T:He gave us two big watermelons.(teach gave)
3.Look and guess
T:The villager gave the children two big watermelons

4.Reading time Read after the tape/together/by yourself
5.Read and judge
1.Aunt Ping take us to a field. Take-took

Step 4 Post-reading
1.Retell the story with “five elements” T shows some information about this story .(已经板书在黑板上) Let Ss guess the five elements “when/where/who/what/how” Ss work in pairs and retell the story in pairs. 2.Make a new story
T:We know Charlie and Cherry had a great time in the morning. What about afternoon.
