一、定义
宾语从句:置于及物动词、介词或形容词等词性后面起宾语作用的从句。其中,常用来引导宾语从句的形容词有:sure,glad,happy,sorry,afraid,surprised等。
I am glad that you can join us.
二、句子结构
主句 +连接词(引导词)+ 宾语从句
He asks him /how long Mike has been here.(动词宾语)
Miss Zhang is angry at /what you said. (介词宾语)
三、语序
宾语从句的语序必须是陈述语序。包括:
连接词+主语+谓语+宾语+其他;
连接词+主语+系动词+表语+其他;
误: He is wondering when can he finish this difficult job.×
正: He is wondering when he can finish this difficult job.√
四、连接词(引导词)
①从属连词:that,if,whether(不充当成分)
②连接代词:(充当成分:主、宾、表、定)who,whom ,whose ,what ,whoever ,whomever ,whosever,whatever,whichever等。
③连接副词:(做状语)when,where,why,how,whenever,wherever,however等。
例句:I know/ who he is.
五、时态
①如果主句是现在的时态 (包括一般现在时 ,现在进行时,现在完成时),从句的时态可根据实际情况而定,即可用任意时态。
I know he lived here ten years ago .
②如果主句是过去的时态(包括一般过去时,过去进行时),那么从句的时态一定要用过去的某种时态(包括一般过去时,过去进行时,过去将来时, 过去完成时)
I knew who lived here.
③当从句是客观真理,定义,公理,定理,用一般现在时。
The teacher said that the earth travels around the sun .
④Could you tell me…是用来征询对方的意见,语气委婉,并不表示过去。
例:Could you tell me when we will visit the History Museum.
六、it 作形式宾语的句型
make it clear that... 说清楚……
make it possible that...使……成为可能
make it a rule that... 使……成为习惯
take it for granted that... 认为……是理所当然的
see to it that... 务必 / 一定……
The Internet makes it possible that we can work from home.
因特网使我们在家里工作成为可能。
名词性从句
主语从句、宾语从句、表语从句和同位语从句在复合句中的作用相当于名词,因此这四种从句统称为名词性从句。它们有下列相同之处:
(1)连接词相同。
①从属连词:that,whether,if,as if,as though,because 等;
②连接代词:who,what,whose,which,whom,whoever,whatever,whichever,whomever 等;
③连接副词:when,where,why,how,whenever,
wherever 等。
Whether you win or not doesn’t matter.你是否赢并不重要。
(2)需用陈述语序。
I hope that I will go to college one day.
(3)四种从句一般不用逗号和主句分开。
What they are looking for is their missing dog.
他们正在寻找的东西是他们失踪的狗。(主语从句)
I don’t think he will come to my party.
我认为他明天不会来我的派对。(宾语从句)
This school is where my mother worked forty years ago.
这所学校是我母亲 40 年前工作过的地方。(表语从句)
There is no doubt that human activities caused global warming.
毫无疑问人类活动导致了全球变暖。(同位语从句)
