教学目标
知识目标:
学习新单词:ant, parrot, eagle, whale, surprising
学习新短语:work very hard, repeat well, see well, swim very quickly, get very old, walk very slowly, run very fast.
学习和运用表达个人爱好的句型:Which animal is your favourite I think....
能力目标:
能够运用所学词汇和句型谈论自己喜欢的动物
能够运用形容词最高级表达自己的看法
情感目标:
提高学生保护野生动物,爱护大自然的意识。
学情分析
六年级的学生已经掌握了一定的听说读写能力,能够适当用英语句子进行表达。动物这个话题比较能结合学生们的生活实际,于他们而言比较熟悉,而且对于动物的习性比较感兴趣,低年级时也学过相关表达对动物喜欢之情的句型,所以本节课利用不同的教学活动来让学生们掌握重点内容来达到教学的效果。
重点难点
辨认、朗读和正确运用新词汇和短语
能够流利地运用恰当的词汇表达个人喜欢的动物,并且简单地描述它们。

一、组织教学及复习
1. Greeting and Free talk.
T: Do you like animals What animals do you know
2. Sharp ears. Listen to the sound and guess what kind of animal it is.
lion, bird, cow, sheep, rooster, frog, monkey, cat, dog, wolf, horse
3. Leading-in : Wow , the animals are active! So today we are going to learn about some active animals.
二、新知识的呈现和归纳
1. 出示爸爸去哪儿的人物剧照,以讨论每个小孩子喜欢的动物为切入点呈现新词汇。
2. Listen and answer
播放Kim 和 Angela 的录音, 回答问题,并教授新词汇 ant, bee, amazing, work so hard, shark, dangerous, swim very quickly
T: Please listen carefully. What animal does Kimi / Angela like best
3. Guess and answer
通过图片,猜出Grace 和Joe喜欢的动物,并教授新词汇surprising, get very old, whale, turtle, interesting, walk very slowly
T: Can you guess What animal does Grace/ Joe like best
4. Think and answer
A:给出提示They can see well. They can run very fast. 让同学们猜出Cindy 和Duoduo 喜欢的动物,eagle, cheetach
B:提供支架后,让同学们用适当的形容词来形容该动物:the most exciting, the most dangerous...
5. Look and say
A: 通过直接展示图片来引入新词汇
B: 层层递进,尝试让同学们根据之前的句型形容该动物

三、新知识的巩固和活用
1. Fill in the chart
通过填写表格小结刚才新授的词汇,让学生利用句型框架问答。
2. A guessing game
让同学们利用句型 They are _______. They can ________.
3. Pair work: 复习形容词的最高级形式,并利用其结构表达自己喜欢的动物

4. Group work: Make a report. 利用新学词汇填写自己的报告,并以小组为单位展示

四.小结
利用思维导图来引导学生归纳新学的词汇和句型。
