分析近10年河南中考真题可知，连词主要在完形填空和语篇填空中考查。2022年河南中考中完形填空有1道题，语篇填空有1道题，均是对从属连词进行考查。
连词是一种虚词，用于连接单词、短语或句子，不能单独作句子成分。连词按其性质可分为并列连词和从属连词。并列连词用于连接并列的单词、短语或句子，如and，but，or等；从属连词用于连接主句和从句。
考点1　并列连词
◆表示并列关系的并列连词及短语
连词 含义及用法 示例
and 意为“和，并且”，表并列、递进或顺承关系 He sluiced the bath and filled it. 他冲洗了浴缸，然后放了一缸水。
用于“祈使句＋and＋陈述句(表结果)”结构 Miss another class and you'll fail.你再缺一次课就会不及格了。
连词 含义及用法 示例
both… and… 意为“……和……都”“不但……而且……”“既……又……”，连接两个主语时，谓语动词要用复数形式 Both he and she are students.他和她都是学生。
连词 含义及用法 示例
neither…nor… 意为“既不……也不……”“……和……都不”，连接两个主语时，谓语动词采用就近原则，与nor后面的词保持一致 Neither you nor he is right.你和他都不对。
连词 含义及用法 示例
not only…but (also)…　 意为“不但……而且……”，连接两个主语时，谓语动词采用就近原则，与but (also)后面的词保持一致 Not only you but (also) he is right.你和他都对。
易错警示
not only…but (also)…连接两个分句时，前一个分句应该用倒装形式。如：
Not only has she been late three times, but she has also done no work.她不仅迟到了3次，还没干一点活。
◆其他并列连词
类别 连词 含义及用法 示例
表转折 but 但是；然而 He is young but very experienced.他虽年轻，但经验很丰富。
表选择 or 或者；还是 Would you prefer tea or coffee？你喜欢茶还是咖啡？
否则；不然 Put on the coat, or you will feel cold.穿上外套，不然你会冷的。

表选择 either… or… “要么……要么……”，连接两个主语时，谓语动词采用就近原则，与or后面的词保持一致 Either you or he is right.要么你是对的，要么他是对的。

考点2　从属连词
◆引导时间状语从句
连词 含义及用法 示例
when 当……时，既可以和短暂性动词连用，也可以和延续性动词连用 Vegetables are best when they are fresh. 蔬菜新鲜时最好吃。
while 当……时，只能和延续性动词连用，且常用进行时 Don't talk while you're eating.吃饭时不要说话。
连词 含义及用法 示例
as 当……时，表示一件事情正在发生，另一件事情也在进行中，通常只用于一般过去时 He came just as I was leaving. 我正要走时他来了。
after 在……之后，表示主句的动作在从句的动作之后 After we finish tea, we will sit on the grass.喝完茶之后，我们将坐在草地上。
before 在……之前，表示主句的动作发生在从句的动作之前 Try to finish your work before you leave.离开前设法把工作做完。
连词 含义及用法 示例
till/until 直到……(才)，until用于肯定句中时，谓语动词必须是延续性动词 Never trouble trouble till trouble troubles you.(谚)不要无事惹事。
Hold on until I fetch help.坚持一下，等我找人来帮忙。
连词 含义及用法 示例
as soon as 一……就……，主句用一般将来时，从句用一般现在时 I'll let you know as soon as I hear from her.我一收到她的信就通知你。
since 自从……以来，主句用现在完成时，从句用一般过去时 She has been playing tennis since she was eight.她从八岁起就打网球了。
◆引导地点状语从句

where 哪里 The church was built where there had once been a Roman temple.这座教堂盖在一座罗马寺庙的旧址上。
wherever 无论哪里 Wherever you go, I'll be right here waiting for you.无论你去哪，我都会在这里等你。
◆引导原因状语从句
连词 含义及用法 示例
because 因为，表示造成某种情况的直接原因，回答why引导的问句，不和so连用 He distrusted me because I was new. 他不信任我，因为我是新来的。
since 因为；既然，语气比because弱，表示对方已知或众所周知的原因 Since we've no money, we can't buy it.由于我们没钱，我们无法购买它。
as 因为；由于，语气比since弱，引导的从句位于主句前后均可 As you are sorry, I'll forgive you. 既然你悔悟了，我就原谅你。
◆引导条件状语从句
连词 含义 示例
if 如果 If it rains tomorrow, we won't go for a picnic.如果明天下雨，我们就不去野餐了。
unless 除非；如果不 Don't come unless I call you. 除非我给你打电话，否则你别来。
as (so) long as 只要 As long as you're happy，it doesn't matter what you do.只要你高兴，你做什么都没关系。
◆引导目的状语从句
连词 含义及用法 示例
so that 为了，后接从句，只能用于句中 He raised his voice so that everyone could hear.他提高了嗓音，以便每个人都能听见。
in order that 为了；为的是，后接从句，可用于句首或句中 She repeated the instructions slowly in order that he could understand.她把那些指示慢慢重复了一遍好让他听明白。
◆引导结果状语从句
连词 含义 用法 示例
so… that… 如此…… 以至于…… so修饰的中心词是形容词或副词，结构为“so＋adj./adv. ＋that…”，可与too…to…结构互换 I had so many falls that I was black and blue all over.我摔了很多跤，以至于全身都是青一块紫一块的。

such… that… 如此…… 以至于…… such修饰的中心词是名词，结构为“such＋a/an＋adj.＋可数名词单数＋that…”或者“such＋adj.＋不可数名词/可数名词复数＋that…” She is such a lovely girl that everyone around her likes her.她是如此可爱，以至于她周围的人都喜欢她。

◆引导让步状语从句
连词 含义及用法 示例
though/ although 尽管；虽然，不能与but连用 Although they are twins, they look entirely different.他们虽是双胞胎， 但是相貌却完全不同。
even though/ even if 即使，不能与but连用 Even though we might fail, we still want to try it.即使可能会失败，我们还是想尝试一下。

whatever 无论什么，等于no matter what Whatever we have achieved, we owe to your support.我们取得的一切成就都归功于你们的支持。
whenever 无论何时，等于no matter when Whenever I see him, I speak to him.每当我见到他，我都和他讲话。
连词 含义及用法 示例
whether 不管，常用于句型“whether…or not”与“whether…or…”中 Whether the sayings are in Chinese, English, or any other language, they share something in common.不管这些谚语是中文、英文还是其他语言，他们都有共同之处。
易错警示
1．because和so不能同时使用，只能用其一。如：
Because John was ill, I took him to the doctor.因为约翰生病了，所以我带他去看医生。
＝John was ill, so I took him to the doctor.约翰生病了，因此我带他去看医生。
2．(al)though和but不能同时使用，但though与yet，still可以连用(yet和still用作副词)。如：
Although he is old, he still works hard.尽管他年纪大了，但他仍然努力工作。
＝He is old, but he still works hard.他虽然年纪大了，但他仍然努力工作。
3．and和or在否定句中的用法。
(1)如果列举成分是主语，又在否定词之前，用and连接。而在否定词之后的列举成分用or连接。如：
Mike and Tom can't speak Chinese.迈克和汤姆都不会说英语。
Mike can't speak Chinese or Japanese.迈克不会说汉语和日语。
(2)在否定句中，如果所连接的两部分中有否定词，那么用and，而不用or。如：
There is no food and drink in the fridge.冰箱里没有食物和饮料。
(3)在否定句中，without之后若有列举成分，用and连接，构成完全否定。而在肯定句中，without之后的列举成分要用or连接才能构成完全否定。如：
People can't live without air and water.没有空气和水，人类无法生存。
People will die without air or water.没有空气和水，人类就会死亡。

My mother was a true believer in the power of education to change lives.
