Students in Grade three have just come into contact with English, so how to stimulate their interest in learning English is the key to the teaching work. Therefore, in the actual teaching work, teachers should as far as possible to get the knowledge into life so as to stimulate their interest.

【导入】Warming up
Sing《If you are happy!》together.
Design intent: the rhythm of this song is cheerful and the children also need to cooperate with the corresponding simple action. The teacher led the children to follow the music to sing this song before the class, so as to attract children's attention, to active classroom atmosphere and to prepare for the next lecture.
【讲授】Presentation
1.(ppt) Show students persons in the book through ppt. (Wang Li; Amy; Zhou Lin; Andy; Li Xiao...) Students are all very familiar to these persons, so it is very easy to introduce.
Design intent: showing these persons who are familiared by students to prepare for the following classes.
2.(from a plate which filled with pictures of these persongs) Take out picture of one person(eg. Wang Li) and ask" Who is she " Through the teacher's gestures and picture in hand, students may easily understand the meaning of this sentence and answer with "Wang Li". The teacher affirms students' answer and give complete answer" She is Wang Li." Then the teacher led to the two new words.
(ppt) Show word "who" in ppt. The teacher asks one volunteer to come to the stage and cover his/her eyes then lead the student to ask if eyes are covered. Students may easily give the answer in Chinese "谁”. Then the teacher affirms the answer and lead the new word "who". Student read the word after teacher and practice with a variety of training methods.
(ppt) Show word "she" in ppt. The teacher says "she" loudly when pointing to girls. When pointing to boys, the teacher says "no" loudly. Through this way, the teacher leads the students to understand the meaning of this word. Students read the word after teacher and practice with a variety of training methods.
3. (ppt) Show word "who" and "she", then the teacher add "is" and " ", then that becomes a general question sentence "Who is she " The teacher leads the students to understand the meaning of this sentence and read after the teacher.
The teacher shows picture of Wang Li and Amy and leads students to answer " She is Wang Li" and " She is Amy."
Students read the dialogue after teacher and practice with a variety of training methods.

【练习】Practice game
Three pockets filled with pictures of persons for each group.
The first student takes out one person picture, and ask his/her desk mate with the dialogue learned just now. The desk mate answers and ask next desk mate. Just like this, let's see which group is the winner.
【活动】Extension activity
See the Rio Olympic Games video together. Students may find many many sports events, like swiming, running,jumping... Of course, Chinese sportsmen get excellent results. Show students some famous Chinese sportsmen, ask them " Who is she/he ", leed the students to answer with what have learned today" She/He is..." Then introduce these sportsmen to students.
