How to prepare for an interview
Do you have a job interview coming up Here are some tips on how to prepare for an interview beforehand. Follow them to make a terrific impression on the interviewer.
Analyse the job.
An important part of interview preparation is to take time to analyse the job description and consider what the company is seeking in a candidate. Make a list of the skills, knowledge, and professional and personal qualities that are required by the employer and are very important for success in the job.
Make a match.
When you have created a list of the qualifications for the job, make a list of your assets (优点) and match them with the job requirements. This preparation will help you be ready to answer the questions designed to determine if you have the knowledge and skills needed to perform the job.
Research the company.
Before you go to a job interview, it’s important to find out as much as you can about the company. Company research will help you prepare to both answer the interviewer’s questions and to ask the interviewer questions.
Practice interviewing.
Taking time to practice answering the possible questions will help give you a framework for your responses (回应) and will also help calm your nerves.
Dress properly.
Regardless of the type of job you’re interviewing for, your first impression should be a great one. When dressing for an interview for a professional position, dress formally. If you’re applying for a job in a more casual environment, it’s still important to be neat and tidy.
Practice interview etiquette.
Proper interview etiquette is important. Remember to greet the receptionist, your interviewer, and everyone else you meet politely, pleasantly and enthusiastically. During the interview watch your body language — shake hands firmly and make eye contact as you express your ideas.
Follow up with a thank-you note.
You can restate why you want the job, what your qualifications are, how you might make significant contributions, and so on in the letter. This letter is also the perfect opportunity to further discuss something of importance with your interviewer.(共21张PPT)

3 Have you ever had a part-time job Why did you do it
Yes, I have.
I took a part-time job because I was not sure what I wanted to do with my career. Working part-time is a great way for me to get exposure to different industries, especially when I can manage a couple of part-time jobs at the same time. And once I figure out what I’m meant to do, I can try making that part-time job permanent.
