Hello, everyone, I am a drop of water. Now I am at Dora’s bathroom. But a few days ago, I was in a cloud. Then I dropped into a river and ran into a reservoir. It was time for people to clean me because I was dirty. They cleaned me and added some chemicals to me. Then I travelled through the pipes under the streets and I came out from the tap. After that, people will make me clean again. Then, I will go into the sea again. My journey starts from the sea.
1. “Turn that tap off,” said an angry voice. 一个愤怒的声音说道:“关掉那个水龙头。”
【用法】turn off 意为“关掉;关闭”,反义词组是turn on,意为“打开”。
【注意】off / on是副词,其后接名词时,名词放在off / on的前后均可,接代词时,必须放在turn和off / on的中间。
The light is a bit too harsh. Please turn it off. 那灯光有点太刺眼,请把它关掉。
