I will never forget the heavy rain that hit Zhengzhou, Henan Province on July 20th, 2021. It put hundreds of people in danger.
I got the news from my sister. At that time, I was doing my homework in my bedroom, my dad was watching TV and my mom was sweeping the floor. After hearing the news, we were completely shocked. Dad advised that we should raise money and give away food. And we did so. It’s said that volunteers from different cities rushed to Zhengzhou to offer help. Some even risked their lives to save others. Everyone around me was cheering on the people in danger in Zhengzhou, Henan Province.
Although the heavy rain caused a great loss, it brought people closer. As the saying goes, "We always come together when one of us is in trouble."
