不同时间和方式发生的动作或状态要用谓语动词的不同形式来表示,这种表示动作或状态发生时间和方式的动词形式称作动词时态。

动词时态
时态 结构 常用时间状语 用法 举例
一般现在时 ①主语+am/is/are+其他.
②主语+行为动词原形/第三人称单数(+其他). always, usually,
often, sometimes, once a week, every day, every morning, on Sundays, at times,
on weekends
(1)表示经常性或习惯性的动作或状态;
(2)表示客观事实或普遍真理;
(3)在条件或时间状语从句中, 常用一般现在时表示将来的动作。 He often goes to school by bike.
他经常骑自行车去上学。
The earth goes round the sun. 地球绕着太阳转。
If it doesn’t rain, we will go shopping.
如果不下雨, 我们将去购物。
时态 结构 常用时间状语 用法 举例
一般过去时 主语+动词的过去式(+其他). yesterday, yesterday afternoon, in 1890, two days ago, just now (1)表示过去经常或反复发生的动作;(2)表示过去某个时间发生的某个动作或存在的状态 He was usually late for class. 他常常上课迟到。
He didn’t go to work yesterday.
他昨天没有去上班。
一般将来时 ①主语+will/shall + 动词原形(+其他). ②主语+be going to +动词原形(+其他). next week, this Sunday, next time, tomorrow,
the day after tomorrow, from now on, in a minute (1)表示将来某个时间要发生的动作或存在的状态;
(2)表示打算、计划、决定要做某事 The flight will take off at 3:30. 这趟航班将在3:30起飞。
We are going to have a meeting. 我们将要开一个会。
现在进
行时 主语+ am /is /
are + v.-ing (+其他). now, at the moment, these days, at present 等。 (1)表示说话的瞬间正在进行或发生的动作;
(2)表示当前一段时间内的活动或现阶段正在进行的动作。 They are planting trees in the park now. 看! 他们现在正在公园里植树。
He is building his own house these days. 他这些天正在建他的房子。
过去进
行时 主语+ was /were +v.-ing (+其他). at eight yesterday, at nine last night, at that time, just then, this time yesterday 等或含有when, while 的时间状语从句 表示过去某一时刻或某一时间内正在进行的动作 When he called me, I was having dinner. 他给我打电话时, 我正在吃晚饭。
She was watching TV at eight yesterday. 昨天8点她正在看电视。
现在完
成时 主语+have /
has +动词的过去分词(+其他). already, ever, never, just, yet, so far, ever since, for two days, since 2000 (1)表示动作到现在为止已经完成或刚刚完成;
(2)表示开始于过去、持续到现在的动作或状态;
(3)表示过去发生或已经完成的某一动作对现在造成的影响 I have not visited the Great Wall. 我还没游览过长城。
I have lived here since the autumn of 2004. 从2004的秋天以来我就住在这里。
He has had a good education. 他受到过良好的教育。

Laughter for health
There is an old saying, “Laughter is the best medicine.” Now people are using laughter to improve their health in countries all around the world. In some countries special centres for treating illnesses with laughter were set up and became popular. In 2003, a study in Austria showed that laughing helped patients get better faster. It made them relax, and this improved their general health.
Laughing helps us feel happier.
And it gives the body exercise too.
