情态动词
一、定义:
情态动词没有人称和数的变化,但有一定的意义;不能单独使用,必须与动词原形一起构成谓语; 表示说话者的态度、情感以及对某一行为或状态的看法或态度。
本单元我们主要接触的情态动词有:
1. can
(1)表示能力,意为“能,会”。
Can you play tennis
(2)表示提建议或请求。
Can you pass me that book
(3)表示“许可,可以”,常用于口语中。否定式用can’t。表示表示否定推测“一定不,不可能”,常用can’t。
