教学过程：
Step 1. Warm-up
Greeting: T: Good morning, boys and girls. How are you today
Ss: Good morning, Miss Li. We are fine, thank you.
Review: T: Do you remember the words we learned last time
Ss: Yes, we learned “zoo, elephant, giraffe, lion, monkey, snake, tiger, panda”.
T: Very good. Today, we are going to learn some new words about transportation.
Step 2. Presentation
Show the word card of “car”.
T: Boys and girls, can you read this word
Ss: Car.
T: Very good. This is “car”.
Present the other new words: bike, train, bus, plane, station, airport, park.
Ask the students to repeat the words after the teacher and practice reading.
Step 3. Practice
T: Boys and girls, look at these pictures of transportation. Can you tell me what they are
Show the pictures of the transportation and ask the students to identify them.
T: Very good. Now, let's describe these transportation. Can you tell me what they look like How do they work
Describe the transportation's appearance and how they work, and ask the students to repeat after the teacher.
T: Boys and girls, can you tell me which transportation do you usually take to school Why do you like it
Ss share their favorite transportation and give reasons.
Step 4. Extension
T: Boys and girls, do you know how to ask and answer questions about directions in English
Teach the students some simple phrases and sentence patterns, such as “Excuse me, where is the... ” “It's over there.”, and practice them with the students.
T: Now, let's play a game. I will describe a place, and you need to guess what it is and tell me how to get there.
Show street view images or maps of different places and ask the students to describe the location and how to get there.
Step 5. Summary and Homework
T: Boys and girls, today we learned some new words about transportation and how to ask and answer questions about directions. Do you like these new words Can you use them to ask and answer questions in English now
T: For homework, I want you to draw a picture of your favorite transportation and write a few sentences to describe it in English. Also, practice asking and answering questions about directions with your family or friends.
