Apart from nouns and adjectives, what other word forms can serve as predicative
to-infinitive, -ing and -ed can serve as predicative.

that expresses an idea.

c Yang Liping’s passion is dancing.
Can “interested” in sentence (b) be replaced
by “interesting” Why or why not
No. “interested” means a person’s interest in something while “interesting” means something making a person interested. In addition，the subject in sentence (b) is a person.
不定式、动名词和分词都可以做表语
(1)不定式可作表语，例如：
What I want do is to give you some interesting advice. 我想要做的就是给你一些有趣的建议。
(2)分词作表语需要观察分词与主语的关系，主动用现在分词;被动用过去分词。例如：
Some of guests remained stuck abroad due to the volcanic ash cloud.
一些游客由于火山灰云的影响仍然停留在国外。
(3)动名词作表语时可主表互换，分词不能。例如：
My job is swimming.(动名词)
This story sounds boring.(分词)

What an exhibition! There are many well-knownartists exhibiting their awe-inspiring works. I’m totally amazed by Storm. I think the artist got that idea from trees and fallen leaves after a storm.

Indeed the exhibition is worth visiting, despite the
over-priced tickets. But personally, I think the
inspiration for Storm might be the overwhelming
amount of information in the digital age. The
highly-skilled artist is voicing her attitude through
the natural form of a storm.

Check out the ground-breaking installations. The
one named Superhighway is breathtaking! It is
absolutely astonishing to see a superhighway world
map made entirely of wires and cables. Like Storm,
I think the artist is trying to state his attitude towards
the digital age.
