Unit6 《Lesson 2 Numbers》教学设计
一.教材分析
本课选自重庆大学出版社三年级下Unit 6中Lesson 2 的数字教学内容,主要涉及11-15的英文数字的教学。根据教学内容,结合数字的实际运用,我选择了一个非常有趣味的绘本Ten apples up on top,内容是狮子、小狗和老虎头顶十个苹果的故事。由于我们学习的内容是11-15,所以我依托本绘本,把原绘本1—10的数字复习缩减成了6页,自己添加了8页内容,让整个故事情节增加了趣味性,曲折性,能极大的激发学生内在的竞争欲望,让学生在不知不觉中反复操练运用数字。简单运用数字并操练简单句型,所以比较适合三年级学生。
二.学情分析
本课的教学对象是三年级学生,此阶段的学生天真活泼,好奇心强,有很强的模仿能力,求知欲望、表达欲望、竞争欲望都非常强烈。他们已经有过一学期的英语学习经验,对英语有了一定的了解和认识,并且掌握了一定的日常对话和词汇,比如已经掌握了数字1—10的读音和合理运用。在教学中,我以学生的发展为宗旨,为学生营造了一个开放活泼充满竞争的学习环境,激发学生学习英语的兴趣,让全体学生积极参与学习,敢于展示自己,做学习的主人。
三.教学目标
《英语课程标准》指出基础阶段英语课程的任务是以学生的语言还真是、语言技能、学习策略、情感态度以及文化意识的发展为基础,提高学生的综合语言运用能力。因此,本节课以学习数字,并运用数字解决生活实际问题为主要目的,设定的主要教学目标如下:
1.知识目标:能够听说、认读单词eleven ,twelve,thirteen,fourteen,fifteen;能运用所学数字根据图片进行简单的表述:Ten apples up on top; I can do eleven;能理解绘本内容;
2.能力目标:能够听懂基本会说本课的重点单词和句型;能运用数字11-15对生活中有关数字的内容进行简单描述;
3.情感目标: 激发学生学习英语的兴趣,调动学习积极性,在活动中培养学生的协作精神和竞争意识,培养学生享受积极思考解决问题后的成功体验,培养他们积极向上的情感态度。
4.文化意识目标:明确中外文化对数字的喜好禁忌,明确中外文化有差异。
四.教学重难点
本课的教学重点句型是Eleven apples up on top; I can do eleven;重点词汇是eleven ,twelve,thirteen,fourteen,fifteen;难点是准确读出thirteen ,fifteen的发音,能和同伴享受数字解决生活中实际问题的乐趣。
五.教学方法
《英语课程标准》中提高,让学生通过感知、体验、实践、参与和合作等方式学习,完成教学目标,积极参与学习,促进语言实际运用能力的提高。因此,本堂课采用了多种教学方法:如情景教学法、TPR教学法(全身反应法)、任务型教学法、直观演示法、游戏教学法等。在课堂上,利用听说领先的原则,采用小组合作,面向全体学生,人人参与教学,在协同学习的环境中体验、参与,从而建构个人的经验,积累个人的知识,引导全体学生积极完成学习任务,参与课堂体验,实现提高语言运用能力的终极目标。
六、教学准备:
教师准备:CAI课件,字母卡片若干,狮子,小狗和老虎的手偶。
七.教学过程
Step 1.Warm-up
1.Greetings.
T: Good morning, boys and girls. I’m happy to see you again.
2.Now Let’s enjoy a song and answer the question: What numbers can you see Ss: I can see number 1…10.
Step 2.Presentation
1. We have learned numbers from 1 to 10. Today we’ll continue to learn more. Show the title: Lesson 2 Numbers. Ss read it together.
2. Introduce a story book Let’s enjoy a funny story book about numbers. The title is Ten apples up on top, it’s written by Dr. Seuss.
2. Introduce the masters(Point to the masters) They are Lion,Dog and Tiger . (Divide the class into 3 groups.)You are group tiger,you are group lion ,you are group dog. If you can answer the question, you can get one card. See which group can get more numbers. Now Let’s share the story. Step 3. Basic Challenge.
1.Watch the PPT:
T: Look,What does the lion say Let’s listen. Ss imitate the pattern: One apple up on top. Ss practice the pattern while one apple on the head.
2.(PPT)T: If you were Lion, what do you want to say
Ss: Two apples up on top.
3. (PPT)Lion is very capable. (Listen) Look! See! I can do three. (贴苹果)
4. (PPT)Look ,I’m a dog(教师利用手偶). You can do three. I can do four. Drill the patterns using ping-pong balls or books.
5. (PPT)T: How many apples can you see now
Ss: Seven. T: What does Tiger say Ss answer the question. Listen and imitate: Five , six, seven ! Fun,fun,fun!
Step 4 Challenge
1. (PPT)Does Lion try more Yes,Let’s look, what does Lion do Wow,Lion is so good! What’s 7 and 4 7 and 4 is eleven. Then learn and practice eleven by other things in pairs.(贴苹果) 2. (PPT) Let’s cheer for e on, tiger!
on, tiger! Tiger can do more. So, twelve apples up on top. Let’s think and answer. Learn twelve。 3. (PPT)Dog will PK Tiger. He can do more. Thirteen, fourteen, fifteen apples up on top! He successes! Thirteen apples up on top. Fourteen! Fifteen!(贴苹果)
4. (PPT)Now Dog is No.1. Suppose you are Lion, what will you do Let’s cheer for Lion! Come on, Lion! Lion is so great, so he wants to do more. Twelve, thirteen, fourteen, fifteen, sixteen! Now, Lion is No 1. Can he do more Have a try! Have a try, lion! Seventeen, eighteen, nineteen, oh , no. (帖苹果)
5. (PPT)But, what happened More apples up on top or no apples up on top now Yes, all apples fall. Make an example for what fall is. I like this story very much. It’s interesting. Is it funny Do you like this story
6 (PPT) Let’s read these words to consolidate numbers.
7. (PPT) Find more teen’s friends.(Ss answer the question.)
8. Let’s look for the whole story now. Listen and fill in the blanks. And then read the whole passage.
9. Numbers are very funny. Let’s enjoy numbers song.
10. Do or introduce some number games.
Step 5 High challenge
1.Now all apples fall. How can they do more They need help. Can you help them You can use one thing to help you. Let’s think. We can use basket, bag, rope, toothpick etc. Remember: Use your head, there’s always a way
2. Let’s know more about numbers. In china ,we don’t like 4 and14. In western country, they don’t like Look,This is a hotel, there is no room 13. This is elevator. There’s no 13, either.’ So different countries have different culture. We should know it and respect it.
3. Assessment: Today I’m so proud of you. Good job, boys and girls. Now take out your cards to make one word at least. Ss show their number words.
五. Homework.
1. Share the story with their friends.
2. A book for you (阅读推荐): The cat in the hat.
3. Use the numbers to solve the questions in our daily life.
