The Sydney Opera House is one of the most famous landmarks in Australia. This summer holiday, I got the chance to visit it and find out what makes this building so great.
As our guide told us, the Sydney Opera House was built with a kind of self-cleaning material that is very rare even today.
First, we visited the Drama Hall. We learned about the designer of the Sydney Opera House-Danish architect(建筑师)Jorn Utzon. He was the winner of an
international design competition. However he designed the building according to his own tastes, which caused several problems. The project was completed 10 years late. The cost of construction(建造) was way over budget(预算). Utzon didn't get to see it after it was built.
Then, we visited Joan Sutherland Theatre. The theater was refurbished(翻新) in 2017 with new high-tech equipment. There was a rehearsal(排练) that day, so we could hear the beautiful sound of the orchestra(管弦乐队).Finally, we arrived at the largest theater-Concert Hall. It has hosted many kinds of performances, from classical to rock music. A few years ago, a sports event was even held there.
Before we finished the tour, the guide told us the rest of Utzon's story. In 1966, Utzon had an argument with the government and refused to give in. He had to leave the country. It was a hard time in his life. But many years later, people understood him and saw the building as a masterpiece.

You have been told to wash your hands many times a day to help stop the spread of the new coronavirus(冠状病毒). But what about the mobile phone that you're always using? Scientific studies have shown that the virus can live for two to three days on smooth materials like plastic and stainless steel.
Experts suggest cleaning all "high touch" surfaces every day, including phones, keyboards and computers. However, few people know how to do the cleaning.
Here are some things not to do when cleaning the phone.
◆Do not spray (喷) cleaners directly on the phone.
◆Do not put the phone into any cleaning liquids (液体).
◆Do not use tools that use forced air, which are often used to clean computer keyboards.
◆Do not clean the phone with hard materials. They could make small cuts on it.
So,what is the right way? Below are some suggested ways to clean the phone. With any of these suggestions, be sure not to get the phone wet.
◆Start by turning off the phone. Make sure the phone is not connected to the electricity.
◆Use cleaning cloths with 70 percent of alcohol (酒精) instead of the common ones.
◆Use paper cloths, or other soft cloths like those you use to clean the eyeglasses. It's OK to cover the cloths lightly in cleaners. But do remember to clean the phone "gently".

Everyone has a beautiful memory about school which is hard to forget. Among many things, relationships are the hardest to leave behind. Some schools try to stop students’ puppy love(早恋) in different ways. Anything about "love" relationship is not allowed. For example, a middle school in Fujian, forbids(禁止) boys and girls to sit together for meals and forbids boys to look at girls for a long time; a middle school in Luohe, Henan Province sets rules that boys and girls should meet in bright places with at least 5 other classmates, and if they meet in private, they will be asked to go home with parents for more than a week and even advised to leave school; a middle school in Jinan, Shandong Province forbids everyone to send food and gifts to or receive them from the opposite sex(异性). It also forbids students to help the opposite sex with bags and coats and requires a “44 cm" distance between boys and girls.
Some students are not satisfied with such rules. "Why should we have strict places for different sexes to eat It's not using bathrooms!" Some people who care about the intelligence development of the students say that they should be more creative with fewer rules. For this, I'd like to say that middle school students are going through puberty (青春期). It's normal for them to have some feelings for the opposite sex. Schools should provide correct guidance and education instead of giving simple and cruel rules and asking the students to follow.

A. it's necessary to make such strict rules
B. schools needn't do anything to stop puppy love
