一、阅读单选(共0分)
Happiness is for everyone. You don’t need to care about those people who have beautiful houses with large gardens and swimming pools or those who have nice cars and a lot of money and so on. Why Because those who have big houses may often feel lonely and those who have cars may want to walk on the country roads in their free time.
In fact, happiness is always around you if you put your heart into it. When you are in trouble at school, your friends will help you; when you study hard at your lessons, your parents are always taking good care of your life and your health; when you get success, your friends will say congratulations to you; when you do something wrong, people around you will help you to correct it. And when you do something good to others, you will feel happy, too. All these are your happiness. If you notice them, you can see that happiness is always around you.
Happiness is not the same as money. It is a feeling of your heart. When you are poor, you can also say you are very happy, because you have something else that can’t be bought with money.
When you meet with difficulties, you can say loudly you are very happy, because you have more chances to challenge yourself. So you cannot always say you are poor and you have bad luck. As the saying goes, life is like a revolving (旋转) door. When it closes, it also opens. If you take every chance you get, you can be a happy and lucky person.

Life with a clear purpose can be quite satisfying, but most of us live our life unconsciously. The daily work keeps our mind busy. Then one Sunday afternoon, when I’m lying in bed, it suddenly hits me. What is my purpose It’s difficult to answer but it’s very important. Here are a few tips that can help you in this step.
Check if you already have a purpose. If you find your present life purposeless, just look again. In our life there is no purpose that is too small or too big. Even a street sweeper has a very important purpose in his life. Even if you are working in a small shop you should have a clear purpose in the link of life by the service you provide. Maybe you’re supporting a family, or raising kids, which is quite an important purpose. If you think your life is meaningless right now, it would just show that you are not paying enough attention to your present role.
Believe in yourself. Some people get very famous while some live a private life. There is no real difference between the two. Each person must have a certain role and no role is more important than the other. If you have a talent, it’s life’s gift to you. Try to find the best way to use your talent to something which gives service to people.
Listen to your heart rather than your mind. Heart and mind are just close friends. Your mind must find some several excuses to tell you want your heart wants. The voice of heart is always true and it points to your deep dreams.

There are about 6,000 languages around the world. But 43 percent of these languages are dying out, according to UNESCO (联合国教科文组织).
Languages become endangered for many reasons. One of the reasons is that fewer and fewer people speak these languages. These people sometimes leave their communities and move to cities or towns.
Once a language dies, it never comes back to life. Governments all over the world are taking action to stop this. In New Zealand, the government has said it wants more than 20 percent of the country’s population to be able to speak basic Maori (毛利语) by 2040. It plans to provide Maori lessons in all New Zealand schools by 2025, The New York Times reported.
China is also trying to protect its languages. About 130 languages are spoken in China. In 2015, the government started a project to record all the languages spoken in China. Universities like Minzu University of China have set up these language learning courses for their students.
Some people argue that language loss, like the loss of some animal species, is simply a fact of life on Earth. However, all languages are human heritage (遗产). When we lose a language, we lose the culture of the people who speak it. Language itself is often the only way to pass on a certain community’s history and culture, as well as its knowledge of things like math and geography.
