Dear children,
How time flies! As your teacher,I'd like to talk about "behaving like a grown-up"with you before you leave school.
During our lives,we need the strength of other people to achieve our goals. 11 of us can make it on our own.
In an 12 world, there would be thoughtful, helpful people to guide us in life.Imagine having a 13 who is devoted to keeping you healthy.Or imagine having a boss who wants you to enjoy your job and make progress in your 14 .But many of us have difficulty dealing with grown-ups who seem 15 in their changeable moods. If we have immature(不成熟的) adults 16 trustworthy (可信的) adults a-round us,we will certainly get into real trouble.
What's more,if we are always 17 that we're right all the time, while others are wrong, then we are like those immature adults. Our own personalities could be the 18 .
A mature adult is someone who makes problems better, not worse. When this type of people face a bad 19 ,they will try to find ways to be calm and in control. They keep practicing solving problems 20 they become members of mature adults.
Maybe you're now too young to behave like a mature adult. When you run across a problem, try to stay calm and think more before taking actions, then you're really on the way to be a grown-up.
Yours faithfully,
Vivian

三、阅读理解
A
What is the most important thing in the world I think it is health.
You can take away our money, house, car, or even our clothes. But if our health were taken away, we would surely die. That is why we always try to eat in a healthy way and exercise regularly.
In order to eat healthily, I don’t like to eat food high in fat, like French fries or cookies. I also eat little meat. I eat a lot of vegetables and fruits.
Taking exercise every day helps us build a strong body. Try to exercise for 30 to 60 minutes, 4 to 6 times a week. Regular exercise is an important part of keeping us healthy.
What’s more, I think friends are an important part of one’s health. Many studies show that people who have a lot of friends get sick less than those who don’t. I always feel better when I am with friends than when I am alone. When I am with my friends, I always laugh. Laughing is also an important part of health. I like to laugh with my friends.
By eating properly and exercise regularly, I can keep my body at a proper weigh and keep healthy. By spending time with my friends, I can keep my mind and my body happy. These things sound easy to do, but not many people can manage (控制) them. I think a strong will (意志) is necessary if we want to keep healthy.

Sometimes you might feel it impossible to get on with your parents. But in fact, it isn’t as difficult as you think. Follow these ways, and then you’ll improve your relationship with them.
Spend more time with your parents. Your parents won’t always be around, so try to spend more time with them. This doesn’t mean just sitting in front of the TV together. Instead, you should do more activities with your parents together. By doing them, all of you will feel happy and relaxed.
Talk with your parents more often. In order to understand them better, you should talk with them more often. Try to learn more about them. For example, you could ask them about their own childhood. In this way, you will understand them better.
Always listen to your parents. This may seem simple, but it’s often harder than you think. Look at your parents when they are talking. Don’t interrupt (打断) them, and then speak clearly when replying to them.
Share your feelings with your parents. Sometimes your parents also want to learn more about you. Just do your best to open your heart to them. When possible, talk to them about something at school or what you really want to be in the future.
Make your parents feel proud. There are always some ways to make your parents feel good about you. By working hard, you can do well in school or win prizes in games. They will think how lucky they are to have you and be more willing to talk about you in front of others.

Family fights are never enjoyable. Whether you are dealing with(应付)a loud sister or a mom or a dad who can’t communicate with easily, the situation can be bad.
Family fighting is, on one level, about power. Someone is telling someone else what to do. In a short moment, emotions (情绪) can be brought out and the fight is on. You can go down that old road or you can try something different.
In any fight, you have a need to be listened to and understood. People raise their voices and shout at each other because they’re not being listened to. It’s totally unconscious (无意识的). You want your mom or dad to listen and understand. You want your brother or sister to listen and care.
But you always seem to forget that the person you’re fighting with has the same need to be listened to. So if you can put aside your need for a few minutes, the situation will change quickly. Give the other person some time to express his or her feelings, and you will get your turn to be listened to.
And while you are listening, you have to listen for the right information. In emotional situations, the best way is not to pay attention to most of the words. Because many people can’t express what they are feeling with words alone, especially when they are upset.
But if the situation starts to get out of control, it would be clever to just keep quiet and leave the problem until later because many fights happen at the wrong time. The situation will die down quickly, usually in no more than 30 seconds. You can either move on to problem solving or reach an agreement to work on it at a better time.
This way, everyone will feel respected (受尊重的) and listened to, even when there is conflict(冲突). Emotions will be understood and respected, and it will bring your family closer together.

A.family fights are between family members. B.family fights can make the family enjoyable

( )12.In Paragraph 2, the writer advises that_____________when the family fight is on.

A.satisfy others’ need to be listened to first
B.make sure that you’re the first to be listened to
C.care what others say in the emotional situations
D.continue arguing when you feel you are giving orders
