Once I Was Praised
Once I was praised because I did something meaningful with my pocket money.
One day, I happened to know some students in a school were hungry for knowledge but they didn’t have enough books. I decided to offer my help. With all the pocket money I saved, I bought some books online, and gave them
away to the school. My parents were very happy and praised me when they heard about it. They said I did a meaningful thing.
I believe that every little bit helps. I will continue to do what I can to help others.

Because of the COVID-19, we had to stay at home. During the COVID-19 pandemic, there were many helpful persons around us.
From this experience, I realize that we should help others in need. Helping others is helping ourselves.
When we stayed at home, we had little food to eat. Ordering food online was very difficult at first. At that time，my neighbor Mr. Huang knew everything happened to my family. He sent many vegetables and fruit to me. Our family were moved by what he had done. We also realized that we should pass this love one by one. Small actions can make a big difference.
