Students’ level and analysis(学情分析)
It’s a text for Grade 7 students. The students have learnt about plans for weekends in unit1. It’s close to their life, so they are familiar with it. In this lesson, they’re going to talk about their plans for holidays. The students will be glad to share their wonderful expectation with others. However, these students are from countryside, they don’t the ability to express their ideas completely.

Have the students talk about their weekend’s plans with the activities in the pictures.
Tell the class what I’m looking forward to (the weekend, the May Day holiday and the summer holiday) and what I’m going to do. Present the new words and phrases or expressions in this unit by ppt. Then teach the new knowledge to them.
1. Ask the students to have a look at the pictures and read the passage quickly. Then have them match each part with a picture.
2. Play the recording and have the class to imitate, then have them answer three questions about “when” and tell them they’re about future.
3. Ask the Ss to read Part A carefully and answer two questions.
4. Ask the Ss to read Part B carefully and complete a table.
5. Ask the Ss to read Part C carefully and complete a passage with the given words.
1. Ask the Ss to do the survey in their groups and then write down their partners’ answers for the questions.
2. Have the Ss learn the model sentence and write about their partners in similar sentences.
3. Have some groups report.
At the end of the class, tell the Ss “If you are going to do something, just do it. Never be a Mr. / Miss Going-to-do.”
And make sure they know.

Have free talks with the teacher to relax themselves.
Talk about their plans to revise the language points in last lesson.
Learn the new words and phrases or expressions and pay attention to the pronunciation of some new words.

1. Go through the pictures and scan the passage, then match.
2. Listen and follow the recording and pay attention to the pronunciation and intonation. Then answer the questions and find out what the times are about.
3. Read Part A carefully and answer two questions in four minutes.
4. Read Part B carefully and complete a table in four minutes.
5. Read Part C carefully and complete a passage with the given words in five minutes.

General notes about the class:
整节课都以“looking forward to”贯穿始终,既突出了重点,也很好地将各个教学环节有机地串联起来,使得整个课堂比较干净;新旧知识有承接;情感教育与作业布置有机结合。
Specific concerns / problems:
对教材理解不够深,解读得不是很到位,以致于教学环节中没有特别深入,没能进一步挖掘学生的潜能;有点紧张,表情有些严肃,没产生很好地亲和力;板书不够美,也未能很好地利用板书内容。
