Good morning,dear judges! My name is Li Tingting, I am from JiangXin primary school. I am very glad to stand here and share some of my teaching ideas with you. Today ,My topic is PEP BOOK 1 unit3 Look at me, part B. Let’s learn & Let’s do Now,let me introduce my speaking lesson step by step.
Ⅰ. Analysis of the teaching material
There are 5 parts in content .First, let’s focus on the analysis of teaching material.It mainly deals with six key words: arm, hand , head , body , leg , foot, and the sentence “This is the…”. The topic of this lesson is about body, it’s related to our daily life. So it’s easy to arouse the student’s learning interests.
Ⅱ. Analysis of the students
Look at my children,they are in Grade3,they are active , young and lovely. sometimes,they are naughty.But, they are interested in competitions , singing and drawing.Especially,They like dong actions,we should give them as much encouragement as possible.They also like to show themselves, but some students are easy to distracte in class. Therefore, how to attract their attention is the key to the lesson.
III. Teaching aims
Since we have known the teaching material and the students, I want to talk about teaching aims from three aspects.
1.Knowledge and skills:
The first one is knowledge skills. Students can listen ,say and read 6 new body words: head 、body 、arm 、hand、leg、foot. They can use the sentence: This is the…..to introduce the body.
2. Process and methods:
The second one is Process and methods. Students can use the new words in the real situations ,so that they can understand the orders and do actions correctly.
3.Emotion ,attitude and values:
The third one is emotion ,attitude and values .Train the student to form the good habits and exercise body are nesessay.
IV. Teaching key and difficult points:
1. Teaching key points: the main point of this lesson is: Students can listen ,say and read 6 new body words: head 、body 、arm 、hand、leg、foot. They can understand the orders and do actions correctly and quickly.
2.Teaching difficult points : The difficult point is the pronunciation of hand and head .Use the pattern: This is the….to introduce the body.
V. Teaching methods and Learning methods
1. Teaching methods:As we all know, the main aims of learning English in primary school are to practice basic abilities of listening and speaking. The type of the lesson is the word teaching. So I will show some pictures and design activities in the following teaching procedures.
2. Learning methods: Students should practice, take part in the class activities, communicate with their classmates.
VI. Teaching procedures
Next, let’s focus on the teaching procedures.I will finish the lesson in 5 steps.
Step 1 warm-up ( 3′)
It will cost about 3 minutes.
1.Greetings. Everyday my students and I greet to each other, it makes our relationship closer and closer.
2.Let’s sing:(flash) Students follow the flash, sing happily.
(Purpose:Through the daily talk and singing ,not only review the old knowledge, but also arouse the students interest in learning English.Lead Students to get into the strong English learning atmosphere.)
Step 2 Presentation ( 15′)
This part I will use three tasks to finish.It will cost about 15 minutes.
Task1.Look and say.
PPT shows Zoom’s head of the five old words. Ask students to say with teacher. Use the sentence: This is the … and pay attention to the pronunciation of “the”.For example,[ i]the eye,the ear.[ ]the nose,the face and so on.Then I create a situation:Make a puppet for Zoom.
Task2. Make a puppet
I show them the body part of Zoom to teach the new words. I create a text:Let's make a puppet.Body ,body ,this is the body.Shake your body....
Task3.Let`s do.
Students watch the video and do after it.
(Purpose:Students are interested in doing actions .It can make them learn English easily and happily.)
Step 3 Practice( 10′)
It will cost about 10 minutes.I design 4 activities.
1.1.Look at the picture .
T:Boys and girls, look at the boy . This is the…, This is the…
words game. Choose one gift,and let students read it correctly.
(Purpose:Through these games , review the new words and phrases in a real situation.
3. Let`s draw. Let one student to draw the part of Zoom`s body,but she doesn`t see Zoom`s head. It`s very funny.
4. Have a competition : Ask students listen to Teacher’s orders and do actions . If they do the wrong actions ,go back to their seats, the others go on. When the game is over . The students who still stand up are the winners . They can get stars.
(Purpose:Proper competition can arouse the Students’ learning interest ).
Step 4 Consolidation( 8′)
It will cost about 8 minutes.There are 3 parts.
Making a new dialogue is to check if students can use correctly and skillfully.
Let`s do .Students do together.
Make a new chant , Students say together.
(Purpose: To check the knowledge students have learned in this period)
Step 5 Ending ( 4' )
It will cost about 4 minutes.There are 3 parts,too.
1.Summary.Encourage the students to summarize the key words and sentences by themselves.
(Purpose: I want to train the students`ability to sum up and help them master the important points.)
Emotional Sublimation:Let students know that they should love their life and study harder.
3.Homework
Homework1: Introduce 6 new words to your parents with the sentence:This is the…
Homework2: Read Let’s do with your friend and do actions.
Homework3: Draw yourself and write the body parts in English.
Blackboard design:New words are on the left, and new phrases are on the right.
VII. Teaching reflection
1. In this lesson , I use different forms to help students understand , such as PPT , pictures...
2. The happy atmosphere has a great influence on the students' learning. So I create more opportunities for them to say, to do and to think.
3. This lesson is related to students ' s life,so students take an active part in the class.
4.After learning, I think students can grasp the main knowledge of this lesson.
