一、教学目标
1、学习能力
（1）能听、说、读、写本课时的四个短语in the morning,in the afternoon,in the evening,at night并能用其表达时间；
（2）能理解句型When is... It’s at＋时间的中文意思并能够对其进行初步运用。
2、语言能力
（1）词汇：
话题词汇：能够认读本课时的in the morning, in the afternoon, in the evening和 at night四个短语；
（2）句型：能够运用本课时的句型When is... 对别人提问并能用It’s ＋时间来回答别人的提问。
3、文化意识
（1）能通过课堂活动产生听、说英语的兴趣，培养注意观察、乐于模仿的良好习惯；
（2）能在教师的鼓励性评价中树立学习英语的自信心。
4、思维品质
（1）能通过课堂活动培养自己合作交流的能力，从而意识到学习英语的重要性；

（1）afternoon,evening的读音；
（2）句型“When is... It’s ＋时间”在实际情景中的运用。

四、教学过程
Step1 Warm-up
1.Greetings.
2.Review the words learned in the previous unit..
3.Lead-in.
Step 2 Presentation
1.Use the time to introduce learning.
2.Learn the four phrases.
Step 3 Practice
教师先运用带图片的词汇卡片带读一遍本节课所学词汇，然后再随机拿卡片让小组读，比如先拿出in the morning让第一大组的学生读，再换一张卡片让第二大组的学生读，再换卡片让下一组的学生读等等，还可以随机拿出卡片抽个别学生来读或者让某个小组的学生依次读。在学生大致掌握了本节课学习的词汇后，再运用游戏对词汇进行巩固并活跃课堂氛围。
1.Use the vocabulary cards to practice the words learned in this lesson repeatedly.（集体操练、小组操练、个别操练）
2.Game time:放风筝游戏
Step 4 Production
Introduce “when” by using the learned phrases about time.
Introduce the key sentence pattern, Max and Rex’s dialogue.
Expand the sentence patterns learned in this lesson.
Use the game to consolidate phrases and sentence patterns once again.
