Grammar Focus
1.探究连词unless, as soon as, so…that的用法
“一……就……”，引导时间状语从句
“如此……以至于……”，常引导结果状语从句
“除非；如果不”，多引导条件状语从句
Unless 引导条件状语从句， 相当于if …not…. 主句可以是肯定句 （主将从现） You will miss the bus unless you hurry up.
你要不快点就会错过班车。
主句也可以是否定句 （主将从现） You won’t make progress, unless you work hard.
如果你不努力，就不会取得进步的。
as soon as 引导时间状语 从句。表示从句的动作一发 生，主句的动作马上发生。 主句过去式，从句也 用过去式 I went to do my homework as soon as I came back home.
我一回到家就去做作业了。
主句将来时，从句用 一般现在时表将来 I will tell him the news as soon as I see him.
我一见到他就告诉他这个消息。
so…that…常引导结果状 语从句，so是副词，常常 用来修饰形容词或副词。 1. 主语+谓语+so + adj \ adv + that从句 She is so young that she can’t go to school.
她太小了不能去上学。
2. so+形容词+(a)n+ 单数名词，+that 从句 It was so fine a day yesterday that we all went out for a picnic.

Once upon a time, there was a beautiful girl. Her name is Cinderella. She lived with her father, stepmother and stepsisters. As soon as his father died, the stepsisters made her do all the chores.
One day there was a party, but she was so busy that she had no time to make a dress for the party. The mice knew that unless they helped her make address, she would not be able to go to the party. As soon as the prince saw her at the party, he fell in love with her. But she had to go back by 12: 00. The next day the prince began to find the girl. He knew that unless the girl's foot could fit the shoe. it was not the right girl. Finally the prince found her and they got married.
The story tells us that we should be kind and never do anything bad to anyone.

1. marry
marry意为“(和某人)结婚；嫁；娶”。常见用法有：marry sb. 意为“嫁给某人；娶某人”，be / get married (to sb.)意为“(与某人)结婚”。get married强调动作，是短暂性的；be married是延续性的，可与表示一段时间的状语连用。

My favorite story is Cinderella.
The main characters in the story are Cinderella, her stepmother, two stepsisters, a fairy godmother and a prince.
The story is about a beautiful girl, who was able to go to the ball (舞会) only with the help of the fairy godmother. There, she fell in love with a prince. Then she and the prince got married and lived happily ever after.
This is my favorite story because it is interesting and it teaches us to be kind and not to be wicked like the stepmother and the two stepsisters.
I admire (钦佩) Cinderella very much for she is a kind and beautiful girl who had never done anything bad to anyone.
