Procedures Step 1 Warming up and revision 1. Daily greeting. 2.复习动词不定式的用法,并完成相关任务 3. Check the homework. Let some Ss report "Who's the ...in class " Step 2 Presentation 1. Present the new words on the big screen and learn the new words together. 2. Ss read and try to remember the new words. 3. Work on 1a and match the sentences with the similar meaning. 4. Check the answers with the Ss.
Presentation Step 3 Listening Tell students the boy's name is Jimmy. Let students describe the pictures in 1a. Then play the tape, students listen and number the pictures. Call students' attention to the sentences in 1b. Ask a student to read the four sentences to the class. Then play the tape again, students listen and circle the correct answers as required. Step 4 Consolidation Work on 1e Let students listen to the tape again, and repeat the conversation between Jimmy and the reporter. Invite a pair of students to read the sample conversation in the box. And then make their own conversations in pairs using the information in 1c and ld. In the end, ask some students to demonstrate their work to the class. Step 5 Summary In this class, we've learned how to use some phrasal verbs. We've also done much listening and speaking practice using the target language.
作业 Homework: 1. Do some exercises to consolidate the knowledge. 2. Preview the next period.
