He was shocked to see in front of him was a little disabled girl without legs. The deliveryman quietly gave the parcel to the girl, took her signature and then left.
[3]The little girl often lived alone in her house. Her mother and father worked far away. To take care of the girl, a servant stayed in the house with her in the mornings and evenings but the girl lived alone during the days.
[4]Later, whenever the parcel came, the deliveryman would knock on the door, call the girl and then wait patiently at the door. Gradually, interaction and attachment grew between them. The little girl noticed that the deliveryman wore an old pair of worn shoes to deliver parcels.

She was so angry that she repeated, “There, there, cookies are gone.” Following her pointing direction, we were startled to find none of those century old decorations hanging in the tree existing any more. What had happened We looked at each other, silent and confused. Polly broke the silence, “Who did this？” casting her suspicious look at us, especially me.

I would never try them.” Ruth shook her head and shouted, “Not me. I know they are too old and rock hard.” Just at that moment, Polly was just about to give us a lecture when Jake rushed from nowhere, attempting to reach up the Christmas tree. Seeing his action, it dawned on us who was the one to blame. We couldn't help bursting out laughing. It was really an unforgettable Christmas filled with joy.From then on, we decided to take Jake with us on weekend's outings so that his curiosity won't do any damage to our home.
