Music is important to me. There's nothing more relaxing than listening to or playing music.
One day, I went to visit my parents. While my mother was cooking in the kitchen, my father and I were waiting. Later my father took out his guitar in his room and started playing a slow song. Then I took out a violin and started playing along with him. Slowly, I became lost into the music, giving time and my problems no meaning, for I was the music and it was me.
My father and I played like that for about 15 minutes. And when I turned around, my mother was standing there listening. I didn't even realize she was there while I was playing. She loved it too, and she told me she enjoyed the music we played very much. That was one of the few times that I was “truly” lost in music, because nothing else mattered to me at the time. The funniest thing was that I wasn't good at the violin. I was new to the instrument(乐器),but it was a slow song and my ability(能力) didn't matter. That's what music is about.
Now many people are too focused__on being good at their instrument, or making lots of money with it, but not focused on the music. Although my job is playing the piano, I never really want to use it to make money. I play because it brings me great happiness, and I love everything about it.
