Presentation Step 2 Presentation 1. Read the adjective words in 2a. Try to write their comparative; forms of these words. Ask three students to write down their answers on the blackboard. Then check the answers with the class. 2. Read these words and write five sentences with them. 3. Choose two or three students to read their answers. Step 3 Reading Read the passages in 2b and underline the comparative words and phrases. 2.Read the passages again and answer the question: Should friends be the same or different Ask one or two students to state their opinions. Then ask them to underline the key words, phrases and sentence structures. Explain them one by one with examples. 3. Make students read the passages again. Then judge if the eight statements in 2c are true or false. Discuss the answers with their partners. Then check the answers 4. Ask the question: How do you and your friend compare with the people in the article Choose two or three students to talk about it with five sentences. Read the four sayings about friends. Ask some students to explain these sayings in Chinese.
