Maple Syrup
It is a natural sweetener made from the sap of maple trees. It has been consumed for centuries in North America and most maple syrup is produced in eastern Canada. It can be used as an alternative (替代品) to sugar in a variety of dishes, such as pancakes,
waffles (华夫饼) , French toast,
oatmeal (燕麦片) and porridge.

Mexican black bean salad is a summer salad made of black beans, corn, tomatoes, onions and peppers. Using chilli powder and garlic for dressing (调料,调味酱), it usually has a bold and strong flavour. You
