相当于near，但 near to通常不用于地点、人物、节日等名词前。

常用于ロ语中，回答别人致歉。

多用于一般将来时，在句中作时间状语。

表示与某人或某物非常近，相当于 beside。
The teacher puts a tick next to right answers and a cross next to wrong ones.

no doubt adv.无疑;很可能
后面可以接介词 about，也可以接从句，惯用结构是“ There is no doubt that...”
There is no doubt that he will call me when he gets there

辨析：no longer:着重表示时间上的不再延续，通常置于行为动词前。
no more:着重表示数量或程度的减少，一般置于行为动词后。

用于连接两个平行的语法结构。当连接两个主语时，谓语动词和 but also后面的主语一致。

常与非延续性动词连用，till/until后接时间状语或从句。

相当于 sometimes，可用于一般现在时或一般过去时中。
