教学内容分析 读写部分的语篇是与主题相关的飓风安全指南，语言简练，使用了大量祈使句来提供建议，教师需要引导学生对该安全指南进行学习，关注安全指南的结构和语言特点，并进行仿写。
学生学情分析 已具备： 话题知识方面学生已经了解了各种类型的自然灾害及其破坏性以及一些面对自然灾害的应对措施；语言知识方面大部分同学积累了与灾害相关的各种表达；思维品质方面大部分学生能识别分析信息之间的异同和关联。 待提高： 话题知识方面学生对飓风的相关知识了解较少，对美国的地理知识了解较少；语言知识方面学生在安全防护方面的相关表达积累较少；思维品质方面学生在建构新概念和运用新概念解决新问题的能力有待提高。
学习目标叙写 1. 通过阅读飓风安全指南获得关于安全指南的基本信息 2. 总结安全指南的写作要点、语言特点和结构； 3. 撰写洪水安全指南。
评价任务设计 Summarize the features and structure ofsafetyguidelines. Write flood safety guidelines.
学习活动设计 教师活动学生活动环节一：Read and answer教师活动1 1. T invites Ss to recall how dangerous a hurricane is. 2. T guides Ss to read the hurricane safety guidelines and answer the questions: Q: What is the purpose of safety guidelines 学生活动1 1. Ss share their impressions of hurricanes with the class. 2. Ss read the hurricane safety guidelines quickly, and answer the questions. 活动意图说明： 通过回顾复习，引出本课时主题--灾害防范，激活学生关于自然灾害背景知识与话题语言，了解灾害安全指南及其特点。环节二：Read and conclude教师活动2 T guides Ss to summarize the writing features of proper safety guidelines.
