All of us may have experienced embarrassing moments. It could be the time when you pronounced a simple word wrong in class or talked about someone else without realizing that they were right behind you.
Though these embarrassing moments don’t harm us a lot, they come back sometimes and make us always remember the feeling of strong embarrassment. What’s worse, these feelings may last for years. When these kinds of feelings return, they are known as a “cringe attack(羞愧综合症)”.
Why do “cringe attacks” still appear in our daily lives though the things happened weeks, months, or even years ago According to researchers, our brains catch feelings that can be easily noticed. The stronger the feeling is, the longer we will remember it. If you have a highly embarrassing moment, no matter what it is, your brain will try to catch it.
So how can we deal with this Well, we can start by trying to be cool about our past. Think that you are not alone in your embarrassment—everyone fails or makes embarrassing mistakes. Instead of just trying to forget what we did, we should try to accept who we are and make changes for the better.

One day, I spent about an hour in the language learning section(区域) of a bookstore. I picked up one textbook, then another and thought how cool they were. I picked up an English grammar book. It was good! Really good! I said to myself, “Well, Robby, you’ve got to have this one!”
And then I suddenly thought: What on earth am I doing at the English language learning section when there are thousands upon thousands of real English books around me
Having read lots and lots of interesting novels in the English language, I still reached for that grammar book because this stupid idea is somewhere at the back of my head: To improve your English, you need to learn English grammar from grammar textbooks. It’s wrong, my friends. It’s completely wrong—you’re much more likely to enjoy yourself by reading an interesting book than doing English grammar exercises. You can LIVE English rather than LEARN or STUDY it!
English grammar books—fair enough, but that’s not real language. Grammar books are written to show you how grammar works and often they are more likely to be boring.
Real English novels—that’s real English language! That’s language that’s enjoyable and it already contains(包含) all the English grammar you need, so you’ll learn to understand grammar without even trying.
So what did I finally do Well, of course, I found a great history book and bought that instead!

Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening
By Robert Frost

Most of us feel bad when we make a mistake. We hate ourselves, feel like failures and get mad at ourselves. That’s because most of us have been taught from a young age that mistakes are bad, and we should try to avoid them.
However, the right way to deal with mistakes is to cherish(珍惜) and learn from them. Without mistakes, we could not learn, grow or improve. By trying things and making mistakes again and again, we have worked out how to make electric lights and how to fly. Mistakes make different inventions possible.
In addition, mistakes make more things possible for everyone. They make walking possible for the smallest kid, make speech possible and make works of genius possible. When we get information about something, we naturally construct(构造) model in our mind. Then we test it out by trying it in the real world. While testing, we may make mistakes. We have to keep correcting before it is well done. That’s how we learn as babies, kids and adults.
Mistakes are great helpers to lead us to learn to do something new. So if you value learning, growth and improvement, then you should value mistakes.

2. What must we do before testing is well done (不超过5个词)

Last month, our class had a charity sale. Two days before the sale, we handed out notices to make our sale known by others. Then we made different things like food and toys. It was so much fun! When everything was ready, we started to sell the things. To our surprise, all the things were sold out in a short time! At last, we gave away the money we made to Children’s Home.I think it was a meaningful experience. Making things helps develop our life skills. Meanwhile, we can learn how to communicate with others well. Last but not least, helping people makes us happy.

A new railway opened on June 16, 2022 in Northwest China’s Xinjiang. It forms the world’s first railway loop(环线) circling the Taklimakan, China’s largest desert.
The 825-kilometer line links the city of Hotan in Xinjiang with Ruoqiang in Inner Mongolia. The journey from Hotan to Ruoqiang takes about 11 and a half hours. There are 22 stations along the line and most of them are around the desert, which makes passengers travel conveniently.

How to Improve English Writing
As we all know, English is widely used in the world. It is important for us to learn it well. I’d like to share my ideas on how to improve English writing.
First, I like reading some English novels and magazines, and when I read some good sentences, I will write them down in my notebooks. At the same time, I make a list about the new words that I meet, so that I can enlarge my vocabulary. Second, I like to record what happens in my daily life in English, so I’ve formed a habit of keeping English diaries. Besides, I think doing more grammar exercises is very necessary. So I spend half an hour doing grammar exercises every day. I hope my ways of improving writing skills will be helpful and you all can make great progress in English writing.
