Lead in Step I Warming up
Ask students to sing a song, and then ask students what kind of song it is.
Presentation Step II Presentation
Ask students:
Who is your favorite singer or musician
Tell us why you like him or her.
What kinds of music do you like
Step III Comic strip
Look at the picture and then ask some questions:
1. How many people are there in the picture
2. Do you know them
3. What is the name of this band
4. What are they doing
Listen to the conversation between Alex and Dave. Write A for Alex or D for Dave next to each opinion in 1b on Page 61.
Step IV Practice
Talk about a piece of music in pairs. Then listen again and take notes.
Fill in the blanks in 1c on Page 61.
Step V Make a survey
Ask some questions about their friends and parents.
1. What kind of music do they listen to
2. Why do they like them
3. How does the music make them feel
Tell students to listen to music when they are free as much as possible.
Group work: What kinds of music do young people like
What kinds of music do old people like Why
作业 Homework: Remember the phrases and new words of this lesson.
