1. I’m planning to travel from London to Amsterdam. 我正在计划从伦敦旅行至阿姆斯特丹。
plan在此句中作动词，表示“计划，打算”，常用短语plan to do sth. / plan for sth.表示“计划做某事”。
plan也可以做名词，是可数的，常用短语a / the plan for sth.“……的计划”。

3. The more information, the better. 越多信息越好。
此句结构 “The + 比较级…, the + 比较级….” 意为“越……越……”，前后关联。如：

4. A journey by train is more relaxing than by coach, but a lot more expensive.

拓展：very (很，非常), quiet (十分，相当), really (确实)修饰形容词、副词时只能是原级；

① however副词，“然而”，表转折，常单独使用逗号隔开，可以位于句首、居中或句末。
② cost在此句中作动词，意为“花费（金钱），价格是”，可见，其主语是事物。如：
—How much does the house cost 这房子花了多少钱？
—It cost about six hundred thousand. 花了约六十万。

注意：1. 比较级或最高级都需要有一定的比较范围：比较级适用于两者之间的比较，两个团体无论成员多少都是为两者，而最高级适用于三者及以上范围之间的比较；
2. 形容词最高级作定语时前面必须有定冠词the，其它情况及副词最高级可以不用。
谚语：East or west, home is the best. 金窝银窝不如自己的狗窝。
