第四部分 写作 (共两节,满分40分)
第一节 (满分15分)
(One possible version)
Recently, we’re astonished to find many students are obsessed with blind boxes, spending a large sum of money impulsively.
As teenagers, we are still reliant on parents economically. Also, money wasted on blind boxes can be spent on daily necessities and things contributing to our personal growth. It's advisable that we should develop a rational spending habit and practice the virtue of thrift.
We appeal to all of us to be smart with money and be wise “investors”!
第二节 (满分25分)
(One possible version)
My daughter was waiting for my reply. I was secretly very worried. But my daughter kept begging me and I could not bear to reject her. Bravery was the most significant quality that I wanted her to possess. Her curiosity was so strong that I couldn’t resist. I nodded slightly, and my daughter’s frowning face slowly broke into a smile. My response surprised my husband, who reacted with the wildest excitement as we walked towards the Skyway. When I stepped on it, I found myself horrified by the height. I grabbed the railing, almost unable to move.
Halfway across the bridge, I had to stop. My heart beat wildly, casting scared glances down the bridge. My husband and daughter held my hands tightly. I walked as though I were drunk. But their firm gaze built up my confidence and we kept going together. “Mom, look, it’s so beautiful.” What I saw there filled my soul with joy. The bay spread out far below me. Beyond it stood the tall and beautiful skyscrapers. I looked down at my little girl who taught her mother how to be brave, and breathed a sigh of relief.

though.
W: It’s back in fashion now. You are old-fashioned.
Text 2
W: I’m so tired. I just finished cleaning my apartment.
M: How long did it take you to clean everything
W: Well, I started around eight in the morning and now it’s half past ten in the evening.
M: Wow, that’s a long time.
Text 3
M: I’d like to stay two nights, please.
W: Do you want full board or half board
M: What’s the difference
W: Full board includes all meals, and half board includes just breakfast and dinner.
Text 4
W: I think thirty chairs and five tables will do.
M: We need three more chairs. Jim told me that he’d bring his friends home for dinner, too.
Text 5
M: Prof. Smith asked me to go to his office after class. So it is impossible for me to make it to the bar at 10:00.
W: Then it seems we’ll have to meet an hour later at the library.
M: Yeah, I’m sorry about that.
Text 6
M: Good morning. What can I do for you
W: Good morning. I lost my ID card last weekend. So I need a new one.
M: OK. First, you need to fill in this form.
W: All right.
M: After you finish it, please take a photo in Room 307.
W: OK. Anything else
M: That’s all. Please pick up your new ID card two weeks later.
Text 7
W: May I help you
M: I would like a table for three people.
W: Let me see. I’m sorry that we don’t have any tables right now. We are very full because there is a wedding on the first floor.
M: It’s really hard to believe. All of the tables
W: Well, it seems that we have a small corner table on the top floor, the 5th.
M: Can I smoke there
W: Yes, the 5th floor and the 3rd are smoking floors. The other floors are non-smoking. That is the only table we have at the moment. Would you be interested in it
M: I’ll have to take it then. I don’t have time to look for another restaurant.
Text 8
W: I haven’t seen you since you were on “Millionaire Challenge”. I heard you took a trip.
M: Yes. I took some of the money I won and went on a three-week tour of Australia.
W: Where did you go
M: We started off by flying into Perth on the west coast and driving across the desert to the Pinnacles. It was a great place of interest.
W: Wow, it sounds amazing.
M: It was. Anyway, from there we took a plane and flew to Melbourne and took a boat to the Great Barrier Reef.
W: Wow! Did you go diving
M: No, I was afraid to meet a shark. I just lay on the beach and enjoyed the sunshine.
W: And then, what did you do
M: Well, after a few days there we took another plane to Sydney, and I spent a few days there, shopping in the day, and going out at night. It was wonderful.
Text 9
M: Have you thought about sharing an apartment It may be cheaper that way.
W: You’re right. For this plan to succeed, we need to come up with some sort of agreements or set of rules.
M: Here is my first question: What do you do during the weekdays
W: I have to work at Starbucks from 8:00 am to 12:00 am, and then I have classes from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm. After that I plan to go home and eat dinner. How about you
M: Well, I have classes from 8:00 am to 10:00 am, and then I go to the library to work until 2:00 pm. After that, it is school again until 4:00 pm. Then I go home.
W: Do you plan to have your friends over at the apartment very often
M: No, not on weekdays. I want to finish my homework during the weekdays as much as possible. If my friends do stop by, it will probably be on the weekend.
W: Good, I plan to do the same things during school time. I also plan to visit my parents during the weekend.
M: My parents’ house is too far to visit. I will go home to see them and my little brother during the holidays.
W: It seems that sharing an apartment with you may work. Do you want to try
M: Yes. Now let’s have a look at all these apartments.
Text 10
Good evening, listeners. It’s time for today’s story. Ruth Lawrence, a 13-year-old English girl, was awarded a degree at Oxford University. When speaking to the reporters from television, Ruth said that she was not a genius, and her success was the result of a lot of hard work. Ruth is a very special girl. At Oxford University Ruth completed her degree in two years instead of the usual three. Her teacher says that Ruth has a quicker mind than any student she has ever met. Ruth had never attended school. Ruth’s father had been her teacher for most of her life and he stopped working for his computer company to go to Oxford with her. Ruth’s mother is an engineer in the company and she has been managing the computer company since Ruth and her father went to Oxford. Ruth’s father said that he is very happy with his daughter’s success. And he hopes that Ruth could continue to stay in her school and do research. Well, thanks for your listening. I’m Cindy. See you next time.
