China is a nation of etiquette(礼仪). Chinese people are among the most hospitable people in the world. If foreigners visit a Chinese family, they would be surprised at the warmth that they would receive as guests.
When you visit a Chinese family, the host usually makes tea for you. Then he will serve you snacks like biscuits or candy.Someone in the family will also chat with you, never letting you feel lonely.
At the same time, other family members will prepare a meal for you. Chinese people treat their guests with a big meal. They always present more food than the guest can eat. At table, the guest must be the first to eat.Perhaps one of the things that surprises a Western guest most is that the Chinese host likes to pick food for visitors, which won't happen at Western tables. The Chinese family go out of their way to make you feel at home.As you are done eating, the host usually says, "It seems that you didn't eat much. Please have more." Although you tell them you are full, they still put more food in your bowl.

You either have it, or you don't — a sense of direction. But why is it that some people could find their way across the Sahara without a map while others can lose themselves in the next street
Scientists say we're all born with a sense of direction, but it is not properly understood how it works. One theory(理论) is that people with a good sense of direction have simply worked harder at developing it. The research being carried out at Liverpool University supports this idea and suggests that if we don't use it, we will lose it.
"Children as young as seven have the ability to find their way around," says Jim Martland, research director of the project. "However, if they are not allowed out alone or are taken everywhere by car, they will never develop the skill."
Jim Martland also emphasizes that young people should be taught certain skills to improve their sense of direction. He makes the following suggestions:
If you are using a map, turn it to the way you are facing.
If you leave your bike in a strange place, put it near something like a big stone or a tree — something easy to recognize(辨别出). Note landmarks(地标) on the route as you go away from your bike. When you return, go back along the same route.
The simple way of finding your direction is by using streets in a town, streams, or wells in the countryside to guide you. Count your steps so that you know how far you have gone and note some landmarks such as tall buildings or hills which can help to find out where you are.
Now you will never get lost again!

六、书面表达
One possible version:
It's important and necessary to be polite in our daily life. Politeness can help us gain respect from others and communicate well with others. In fact, we can't do anything without politeness.
In my daily life, I'm always trying to be polite. Whenever I meet my teachers, I always greet them with a bow and a big smile. Also, I always say "hello" to my classmates wherever I see them.Besides,"thank you" and "sorry"are what I say most when others help me or when I do something wrong. What's more, in some special places like the library,I especially follow the public rules and try to be very quiet.
All in all, I think if everyone can do a bit to become more polite, our world will surely be different.
