一、news(n)新闻
news是 （可数/不可数）名词，作主语时，谓语动词要用 （单数/复数）形式。

【辨析】happen与take place
(1)happen常指具体事件的发生，特别指偶然发生的事情。另外，happen可以构成短语sth. happen to sb.，意为“某人发生了某事”。
(2)take place通常用于表示事先安排或有准备的事情或活动的发生。
may的用法
（1）may是 动词，后面要跟动词的 形式；

unlucky是由un-加形容词lucky构成的，un-是否定前缀。
dress up 装扮；乔装打扮
dress up强调刻意地打扮自己， “装扮成.....”。
【拓展】dress表示“穿衣服”时，后面不能接“衣物”作宾语，但可以接“人”作宾语。dress sb.意为“给某人穿衣服”，dress oneself意为“自己穿衣服”。

其中one为被取代者，one’s要用人称相对应的形容词性物主代词/名词所有格形式
