Relax yourself
Before you start to listen to something, you need to relax. Don't get nervous or excited. This will help you with your listening.
Listen carefully to the first sentence
The first sentence tells a lot about the whole passage, so listen to it carefully. For example, if, at the very beginning, you hear “Many shops in many parts of China have decided to take away all kinds of Japanese goods off their shelves, but some people say it's not a good idea. Our reporter says…”， you know you will hear a piece of news, not a story for children, or a science report.
Think when you're listening
When you're listening, try to do some thinking. For example, you can think of the following questions: What happened When, where, and how What was the result and what did the speaker want to tell us In this way, you may understand the passage better.
Listen to important facts
It's important for you to remember some important facts. For example, if the passage is a science report, you should try to remember its findings, and how the scientists got their results. This is also helpful to your listening.

Ⅳ.任务型阅读
When you are learning English, listening, speaking and writing are important, and reading is also important. When you read, you can not only learn some new words, but also learn how to use these English words. Here are some good reading tips.
Try to read at the right level. Read something that you can understand. If you need to stop every three words to use a dictionary, it is not interesting.
Try to increase the number of your new words. If there are four or five new words on a page, write them down in your notebook. But you don't have to do it while you read. Instead, try to guess their meanings as you read and mark them with a pen. Then come back after you finish reading to look them up in a dictionary and write them down in your own vocabulary book.
Try to read regularly(有规律地). For example, read for a short time once a day. 15 minutes every day is better than two hours every Sunday. Fix time to read and stick to it. For example, you could read for 15 minutes before you go to bed, or after you get up.
