Lead in Step I Revision
1. Give students five minutes to remember the new words and the sentences in Grammar Focus and then dictate them.
2. Review the usage of "for"and" since" in the Present Perfect Tense.

1. First. Let the students read the questions in 1b. Understand the meaning and then listen to the tape. Play three times and ask
the students to answer the questions.
2. Listen again and finish 1c.
3. Check the answers.
4. Play the tape sentence by sentence, and ask the students to follow them and translate them.
Step IV Discussion
Let the students discuss the changes of their hometown.
Practice the dialogue like 1d.
Step V Practice
Translate the sentences into English.
