Good morning, my dear judges.
I’m sunxinhua. It's my great honor to have this opportunity to talk about my teaching ideas.
My presentation consists of the following aspects.

Analysis of the teaching material
Firstly, let’s come to the analysis of teaching material. The part of this lesson mainly talks about the time. Through Zhang Peng and John’s talk, presents the meaning and the form of the words, which are used to describe John’s activities at different times. After the students learned this part they can get more words to answer to the questions about the times.
Analysis of the students
Secondly, students are the subject of our class. They have learned the second language for one and a half year. They can know some basic words, phrases and some simple sentences patterns. But they are shy to say English in their daily life, and the words and the sentences are not enough for them to describe their activities at different times. As a teacher, I will provide them more chance to learn English quickly and practice more.
Analysis of the teaching aims
After the analysis of the material and the students, and according to the analysis of the new curriculum standard, I set the teaching aims as follows:
The first one is knowledge aims:
Students can listen, read and recognize the new words and phrases: lunch, music class, dinner, breakfast, English class, PE class.
The second one is ability aims:
Students can use the words, phrases and sentences to talk about the times, through the activities, their speaking and listening ability can be improved.
The last one is Emotional aims:
Students can enjoy the study of times, and use it naturally and correctly in their daily life.
Analysis of the key
and difficult points
According to the analysis above, then I set the important and the difficult points of this lesson as follows:
Key point: Students can master the pronunciation and the meaning of the new words and phrases and can master the usage of the sentence.
Difficult point: Students can use the words and phrases when make sentences about the times and their activities at different time, and use it in the real situation freely and correctly.
Analysis of teaching and study methods
In order to make the class more interesting for the students to learn and to understand, also we should think about the students’ different levels, I will use the following teaching methods: Task based teaching method, Audio-lingual approach, and Total physical response.
Analysis of the teaching aids:
Also I will use the following aids to make the class more interesting and effective. In the class I will use: pictures, tape recorder, PPT.

Analysis of the teaching procedures
Step 1 Lead-in
In my lead-in stage, first I will greet with the students and then show them some pictures of the clocks, and ask them the questions: What time is it What do you do at this time I aim to lead the students to think about what they usually do at different times.
By talking about their daily life at different times can provide them good English learning surrounding and also can lay a good foundation for the next part. This also can attract their attention to this lesson.
Step 2 Presentation
In presentation stage, after introducing the pictures, I will play the tape for the students and then show the picture of let’s learn part to the students. At the same time, I will ask them about the questions: who are they, leading them to answer: they are Zhang Peng and John. And keep asking: Are they talking about the time Lead them to answer: Yes.
And then I will ask them the question: Which picture shows the first thing John did today Then the students will answer: Drink Milk. Then I will tell them it has the same meaning of “breakfast”. And then I will ask: What time is it Lead them to answer: It’s 7 o’clock. It’s time for breakfast. At the same time I will write the sentences on the blackboard.
Then I will show them the picture of let’s learn part on PPT and then ask them to look at the pictures carefully and ask: What should John do next Lead them to answer: Have the English class. And then ask: What time is it Lead them to answer: It’s 9 o’clock. It’s time for English class.
Then I will lead them to watch the picture carefully, teach them the words and phrases: music class, PE class, breakfast, lunch, dinner. They need to answer the questions with the sentences: It’s…o’clock. It’s time for….to describe the activities in the pictures.
After all of these, I will play the tape again, and ask all the students to read after the tape.
These activities can not only rise their interests of specking English, but also can lay a good foundation for the next step of the sentences and words, and help them better playing the next games.
Step 3 consolidation
Next I will say something about my consolidation stage, then I will finish the let’s do part, I will say the sentences and students do the action. I will say: It’s time for breakfast. Students say: Let’s drink some milk. And do the action. Then I will say: It’s time for lunch. Students answer: Let’s eat some chicken. And do the action. After reading all these sentences, I will just say the words or the phrases, students just need to do the action quickly without saying the sentences.
Then I will prepare some cards with the words and give the cards to the first students in a row, after telling the words in a loud voice, they need to pass it quickly to the next one, and then change the cards until all of them read all the cards.
I will then write the time down the words or phrases on the black board, and then say the time, students should say the word or phrase quickly, if I say the word or phrase, the students need to say the time. And then teacher say a word or phrase, student should do the actions.
Then I will do another activity to consolidate the knowledge. First I will ask them to practice the dialogue with the sentence below, and then I will ask some of them to show it to all the class. One says: What time is it The other answers: It’s … o’clock. It’s time for English class
These three activities can help the students consolidate the new knowledge deeply, and make the class more interesting and effective.
Step 4 Summary and homework
At the end of the class, I’d like to make a summary about this lesson and present my homework to consolidate what the students have learnt in this period. I will ask the students to close their eyes, think the new words and the new sentences in this lesson. And then find one student as the teacher, helps the students to recall all the words, phrases and sentences. Their homework is to write down a time table of their own, and listen to the tape after class.
Blackboard Design:
At the last, it’s the blackboard design, this can help them know the important points of this lesson and also can help them make the notes.
