When you listen, you should pay attention not to only the words but also HOW the speaker is talking.
If people strongly disagree with something, they might
exaggerate their intonation.
If you hear people speaking very quickly or loudly, they may be
excited or angry.
If they speak slowly or stop often, they may be confused or not
sure about what they are saying.

eg. He speaks not only English but also French.

not only...but also... 连接两个在语法上并列的成分。
① 连接并列主语时,谓语的人称和数应和邻近的主语保持一致。
② not only...but also... 连接两个并列分句,且not only位于句首时,
not only后的分句需要使用部分倒装的语序,但but also 后的分
句不用倒装语序,即“前倒后不倒”。
