讲授新课 Talk Time1. Explain the concept of syllables. And show some examples about syllables. Lead students to read the words and clap them out.2. Explain how to divide syllables. Give students some words to have a go.3. Explain another rule of syllables: the consonant sounds in bold in the following words are separate syllables.SummarySummarize the rules of syllablesPractice makes perfect. Speak up1. Show a picture to students and let them discuss the questions. What is he going to do He is going to change the bulb. Can he do it now No, he can’t. Why or why not Because he must switch off the electricity first.2. Give students an example about safety at Johnny’s home. Show students some pictures and let them discuss what rules are. Rules are some instructions about what people must or mustn’t do.2.
