一、教学目标:
知识与技能:
1. 能听、说、读、写单词和词组play badminton, play tennis, play ping-pong, play baseball, Miss, Ms, Mr, Mrs, favourite, sport,并能在真实的语境中灵活运用。
2.能听、说、读、写句子:What are you doing We’re playing ping-pong. What are they doing They’re playing tennis.能用英语表达或询问他人正在进行的体育运动。
情感态度:能够熟知世界上主要的体育活动,了解我国标志性的体育项目。在学习和日常交流中,初步注意到中外文化的异同,养成文明观赛的良好习惯。
学情分析:
本课教学对象为五年级学生,他们经过五年的英语学习,已经具备一定的英语知识和语言交流能力。本课教材教学内容中的重点单词学生们在以前的学习中基本都接触过,因此理解和记忆都较为容易,本课句子和现在进行时时态在本单元前三课的教学中也都进行了渗透。本课教学围绕最喜欢的体育运动展开,贴近学生生活,可以在激发学生学习兴趣的同时,适当拓展体育运动的相关词汇和文化知识。
三、教学重难点:
教学重点:1.能够正确听、说、读、写本课所学单子和重点句。
2.掌握现在进行时句子运用。
教学难点:1.灵活运用所学单词句子熟练对话,培养学生英语思维能力。
2.运用现在进行时。
四、教学过程:
Step 1. Warming-up.
Greetings.
Talk about the pictures.
T: What are the people doing
①What is she/he doing
②What are they doing
③What are you doing
Step 2. Presentation.
T: All of them are doing sports. Do you like sports What’s your favourite sport (板书单词favourite,重点拼读)
T: So today, our topic of this lesson is the favourite sport. Let students talk about their favourite sport in pairs.
T: What’s my favourite sport Who can ask me
T: Look! There are so many different balls. If you can say all the names, I willtell you my favourite sport.
To learn the new words.
(Show the pictures of different balls. Let students look at the picture and try to name the balls.)
① football
T: Do you like playing football
Can you play football very well
(呈现梅西照片)This is a famous football player. He can play football very well. Do you know his name Yes, Messi. He is a male. So we can call him Mr Messi.
(呈现单词表格,向学生介绍不同称呼)
T: We can call a man or a boy Mr. We can call a girl Miss. When we know the women is merried, we can call her Mrs. When we don’t know, we can call her Ms.
Let students read the new words.
②basketball and volleyball
T: Look. I have two balls. Which is basketball And which is volleyball How to play basketball/ volleyball Can you show us (邀请学生分别展示打篮球和排球动作)Do you know any famous basketball/ volleyball player (展示姚明、乔丹、魏秋月的照片)Who is he/she

③baseball and tennis
T: Look at the two balls. What are they Let students spell the new words and read aloud.(板书新单词,并以自然拼读方式引导学生拼读单词)Ask and answer questions about baseball and tennis. Then introduce the famous player, Li Na.
④badminton and ping-pong.
Repeat the process to learn the new words. Introduce the famous player, Lin Dan.
T: Good job. You can read all the ball names. Let me answer your question. My favourite sport is swimming.
Step 3. Practice
Listen and write.
T: Our friends also are talking about their favourite sports. Let’s listen and try to fill in the blanks.
Let do a survey.
T: What’s the favourite sport in your groups and in our class. Do a survey in your groups. Then check in class.
Let’s chant.
Let the students listen to the tape and say a chant together. Tell the students to pay attention on the pronunciation of the letters “ear”.
Step 4. Homework.
1. Write the new words and sentences on your exercise book.
2. Write a passage. Introduce your favourite sport or famous athlete.
