学情分析
对课文进行有效的预习是学生学好知识的关键。小学生预习课文的方式主要是听录音、跟读、模仿课文正确的语音、优美的语调、熟悉课文中图片的内容,待老师上课时设置具体情景使学生在情景中理解所学内容的实际意义。我要求学生每天听录音二十分钟,采用“滚雪球”方式,也就是今天听一到三课,明天听二到四课,然后是三到五课,依次类推,等老师讲到这课时大部分学生已能很熟练的读课文,甚至背诵课文,这为老师课堂教学的顺利进行,特别是“全英”教学提供便利,效果很好。学生也体验到了预习的快乐,所以我的学生已养成了良好的预习习惯,再加上自然科学课里(我们英语科进行跨学科英语教学实验,我们使用的是香港朗文版科学课教材)具有以现实生活为背景、以普通的科学常识为基础的丰富的语言素材,更为我们课堂教学中语言的综合运用奠定了基础。

教学过程
【导入】故事导入(老师扮演Mr Tang)
1 . Review new words by talking about Mr Tang’s animal farm in a story so that pupils are able to use these words in different situations .
( A story : Do you still remember Mr Tang’s animal farm

I have a story about it . Now Let’s go to visit Mr Tang’s farm. Teacher acts as Mr Tang while showing Mr Tang’s farm on video and getting pupils to say what are on the farm and give some advice about how the little animals grow up

Teacher : Thanks for your good advice .
These little animals have grown up . So I’m very happy . I want to play a guessing game with you. And then I’ll describe an animal to elicit the main sentence above
【活动】听读
1 . Write the sentence on the blackboard and read it after me .
2 . Play the recording and ask pupils to listen and repeat and then read it together .

4 . Pupils take out their own toy animals and describe it in pairs after teacher’s demonstration .
