五、Teaching procedures
Step1: Revision and warming-up
Read the numbers and the prices by showing students the cards with numbers and the prices on them.
Step2: Presentation
Guessing:
1.Guess the prices of the things in Mr. Zhang’s clothes store by showing them the pictures of the clothing one by one. Then ask the students to look at the clothing and the prices in 2a on Page 41, let them discuss how much these clothing cost and match each clothing item with a price.
2.Look at the clothes in Mr. Zhang’s clothes store.This time the clothes are on sale. Guess the prices and complete the sentences about advertising expressing.
1) We have green sweaters for only $15.They are on sale.
2) For girls, we have skirts in purple for only $20 . We sell them at a very good price.
3) We have brown shoes for only $e and buy your shoes !
4) The shorts are only $16.They are very cheap.
5) For boys , We have blue trousers for only $22. Come and see for yourself !
6）Socks are only $2 for 3 pairs. They are good and cheap ! Come and see for yourself !
Step3：Speaking

Step4：Writing
Please write an ad for your own clothes store.

After that, ask two students to read the ads of their own clothes store
Step5: Listening and reading
Listening
Ask the students to look at Mr. Cool’s clothes store on the screen (don’t look at the book) Then guide the students to listen to the ad in 2b carefully and write down the prices on their own exercise books
2.Check the answers by reading the ad.
3. Ask the students to read the ad by themselves and try to remember it.
4. Guide the students to retell the ad by displaying the pictures.
