教学目标
1.To learn the new words: above, at the top of, near, between, temple, bench
2.Using prepositions to indicate positions. (e.g. The aeroplane is above the mountain.)
3.Asking “wh-“questions to find out various kinds of specific information about an event. (e.g. Where’s the aeroplane What colour is it )
1. How to use the language in the real and natural situation.
2. How to communicate with others.
3. How to cooperate with others.
1)Enable the Ss to enjoy studying English.
2)To be helpful. If you always help others, you will be happy all the time.

学情分析
本节课的教学对象是小学四年级学生,他们喜好新奇,对于新鲜事物有着浓厚的兴趣和探究欲望。有了一定的英语听、说、读和口语表达的基础,学生对英语学习具有浓厚的兴趣,学习的积极性和主动性也很高,能进行自主学习和合作学习,踊跃参与课堂的每个教学活动。
重点难点

2. How to use the language in real and natural situation.
教学过程
I. Pre-task Preparation 创设氛围 情景引入

用猜谜的形式导入今天的主人公小猫,学生在欣赏这首有趣的歌曲的同时,提高了学习兴趣,创设了良好的英语学习氛围,也为后面的故事发展做好了铺垫。这首歌曲的内容正好和方位词有关。

(Put the pictures of a chair, a mirror, some books and a kite on the paper. Then write the sentences about the position. Do it in groups, everyone writes one sentence.)
回忆歌曲内容,复习了学过的方位词,也引入了新词above和between。 为了区别above和on 的用法,设计了一个动画来展示这个动态的过程,生动地演示了above和on 的区别。 教师通过示范用between描述自己的方位,再让学生自己运用between。最后以一个小测试,跳出地理方位的限制,between还可以用在其他地方,拓展了学生的思维。
通过集体回答,再一次巩固了方位词。并且自然过渡到下一环节“找小猫”。 进入森林场景,让学生畅所欲言,进行描述,培养了学生的口语能力,也自然引入了temple和bench的教学。
在教学temple时,联系生活实际,让学生说说芜湖的广济寺和中国著名的少林寺,拓宽了学生的语言范围。
让学生猜猜大树下有什么,给整个故事的发展,设置了一个悬念,领着学生主动地一步步深入故事。 通过小动物发挥聪明才智,机灵地躲过了大灰狼这一环节,不仅很巧妙地运用了方位词,也趁机给学生们进行了德育渗透,遇到困难要开动脑筋。 找到了小猫后,发现小猫很伤心,原来她找不到家了。这样把故事又推向了另一高潮。 在帮助小猫找家的环节中,设计了有层次的听力训练。
第一次听,要听懂房子附近有什么;第二次听,要听读房子周围的位置,选择正确的图片。学生带着任务去听,听得特别仔细。 听完两遍后,进行阅读,同样也带着任务去读。划出所给物体所在的位置,这些物体和方位正好是今天的新词,再一次巩固了新知。
通过这一记忆游戏,学生进行了对话练习。这不是枯燥的操练,而是交际性很强的交流。
故事继续发展,帮助小猫找到家后,小猫邀请大家到她家去玩,发现屋子很乱,学生们帮助小猫整理房间。四人小组合作,将家具进行合理摆放,并且将句子写出来。从听读说,到写,对学生能力的培养层层递进,学生的综合能力得到了很好的发展。
IV. Consolidation
1.T: The room is tidy now. Today you helped the cat. She's happy. Are you happy I think all of you are very clever and helpful. If you always help others, you'll be happy all the time.
2.Homework. 德育渗透,教育孩子们要乐于助人,帮助了别人自己也得到了快乐。
