in life意为“生活中；一生中”，在句子中作定语，修饰名词things。介词短语作定语时往往要后置。life名词，意为“一生，终生”。life作名词，还可意为“生活；生命”。
eg：He lived in the country all his life. 他终生住在乡下。
They live a happy life. 他们过着幸福的生活。
The operation saved her life. 手术挽救了她的生命。

free 形容词 “空闲的，有空的” 有空的，反义词是busy。
形容词 “免费的，自由的” 自由的做某事。
eg：I’ll be free tomorrow. 我明天有空。
