依据故事和情感两条主线
研读高考完形填空试题，可看出具有以下特点：
·稳定性：完形填空的短文长度相对稳定，一般为250-260词左右。阅读首段考主旨(文章中心)；完形首句通常不设空。——入景
多样性：题材多样化，包括记叙文、夹叙夹议文、说明文、议论文，其中记叙文、夹叙夹议文居多。选材大多是英美国家报纸杂志、网站上原汁原味的文章。所选短文逻辑性强，文章结构严谨，层次分明。——入境

语言知识
借助词汇知识、语法知识和语用知识，正确理解词语在具体语篇中的含义，理解语篇的基本意义和深层意义
●在具体语境，理解具体词语的功能、词义的内涵和外延以及使用者的意图和态度等；识别语篇中的显性衔接和连贯手段、语篇中的信息组织方式以及语篇成分（如句子、句群、段落）之间的语义逻辑关系；学习形容词与名词、动词与副词、动词与名词等的正确搭配，积累词块，确切表达意思、描述事物。

1. 不理解选项词汇的真实含意，基础知识积累不够。只抠字眼、语法，不顾文意，抓不住关键；
2．做题缺乏技巧，没有解题策略，急于求成，未通读全文便忙于答题，不了解文意，无整体概念，边读边填，结果欲速则不达；
3.没有读懂上下文语义，不知道文章讲的是什么，断章取义，就题论题，不管前后联系，所填选项互不照应，前后矛盾；

4．脱离上下文语境，找不准所选词语在上下文语境中的线索，随意选择；
5．对文章主题及线索把握不准，对某些段落理解不到位，因而出现连续错误。

注意对动词、名词、形容词、副词等实词在具体语境的使用，最好了解词语的英语释义，要懂得词汇的内含、外延、褒贬及一定的修辞色彩。注意它们的同义词、近义词、反义词及其词义辨析。

既要注重文章的整体性和段落之间的逻辑性，又要兼顾上下文意思的连贯性，始终考虑上下文语境、联系前后文意思、照前顾后，找到选项还原的线索是做题的关键。

思维要灵活
首先要先读懂第一节，尤其是文章的第一句话，这样就可以迅速找到文章的主旨大意。
其次要跟着作者的思路读全文，要随着记叙与议论的转换，及时调整思维方式，答题时必须遵循“整体—部分—整体”的步骤。
完成所有填空后，还要再复读一遍全文，看看短文行文是否流畅，意义是否连贯，逻辑是否合理，若有不合语感、题意之处，还应调整答案，力求做到万无一失。
人物情感与故事叙述可看作两条主线，但这两条线是相互统一，又互为补充的，所以两条主线都要抓，而且还要往一处抓。
