教材分析 This teaching period mainly deal with new words and reading. Students are expected to master the new words and can understand the structure of poems. The teachers are expected to enable students to master some reading skills--skimming.
核心素养教学目标 1.Knowledge objectives: Enable students to acquire the basic usage of some words and phrases. 2.Skill objectives: ①Predict the topic of reading text by observing the title and picture. ②Understand the main idea of the poems by skimming and understand the rhymes.3. Emotional objectives: Learn to appreciate poems and cultivate a love for life.4.Thinking quality objectives: Talk about their opinions on electricity critically and creatively.

讲授新课 Pre-readingHave a try. Let students read the poem and underline the rhymes.Lead students to review a poem learnt last term. Explain the structure of a poem. And make pay more attention on line, rhyme and verse.Have a quiz about poems. And learn more about poems. Look at the pictures and title on p89 and answer the questions.1. Are the poems about famous people (No. They are about ordinary people.)2. How many verses are there in each poem (2 verses in My dad. 6 verses in The old newspaper seller.)ReadingAsk the students to listen to the tape and read after it.Let students underline the rhymes in both poems.
