教材分析 This teaching period mainly deal with reading comprehension and listening. Students are expected to master some phrases and sentence patterns learned in this lesson to describe the feelings of poems. The teachers are expected to enable students to master some listening skills.
核心素养教学目标 1. Knowledge objectives: ①Go deep into and learn the structure of poem. ② Understand the feelings of poems by listening.2. Skill objectives: ①Use the knowledge learned to make a simple evaluation of poems. ②Learn to capture key words and consolidate the basic skills of taking notes during listening. 3. Emotional objectives: Understand and appreciate the deep emotional expression of the poet, learn to listen to others and express yourself.4. Thinking quality objectives: Understand and master the structure of the article.
重点 Experience the emotions that a poet wants to express.
难点 Understand the feelings of poems by listening.

导入新课 Revision Review the new words and text, and then encourage students to answer the questions actively, and check the answers. Review the new words together, and use the words or phrases to fill in the blanks, check the answers. To arouse the interest and review the new words and the content of the text.
讲授新课 Reading comprehensionLead Ss read the text loudly. Let students review the poem again and understand this poem has no rhymes. And let them finish the reading tasks.Task 1: Answer the questions.1. What does the old man do (He is a newspaper seller.)2. Where does the old work (At a newspaper stand near the bus stop.)3. What does the writer think of the old newspaper seller (He is patient and always smiling.) 2. Read the poem again, and fill the blanks.Task 3: Complete a conversation with the information from the poem. And role play in pairs.Task 4: Complete the summary of the poem.Language points1. seller2. rush out3. hurry to4. put down5. a crowd ofPost-reading1.
