本单元主题为 Things made in China.文化知识主题是了解中国的传统文化元素, 看到中国在世界经济竞争中的优势和短处。Beauty in Common Things 是一篇介绍中国 传统技艺的阅读文章,以孔明灯、剪纸和泥塑三种中国传统技艺为载体,旨在给学生以 传统文化的熏陶。进一步巩固加深本单元的话题内容和目标语言结构--被动语态。文章 为总分结构,文段内部逻辑严密,渗透了一个重要的阅读策略。Section B 部分教学重 点为:培养学生运用所学词汇和被动语态简单介绍某件东西,如:材料,产地,用途或 者象征意义等;被动语态的使用和功能是教学难点。
Why---语篇传递的主题意义
本节课阅读材料的主题是传统艺术之美。旨在培养学生阅读能力,除了学习新的知 识点外,还能培养学生的阅读能力,训练阅读技巧。从内容上来说,通过了解一些传统 艺术品的制作过程以及制作材料,可以拓宽学生的知识面,提升学生的民族自豪感及文 化自信。
How---文体结构、语言特点及功能
本单元话题功能为 Talk about what products are made of and where they were made. 目的是让学生了解常见的文章结构特点-先总体介绍,后细节描述。本课的教学设 计以英语核心素养的四维目标为出发点,教师通过设计不同梯度的教学活动,引导学生 感受中国传统技艺之美,强化寻找文章结构的阅读策略,学习并实践思维导图的制作, 引导学生发现美、欣赏美和创造美,同时培养学生用英语进行沟通的能力。
二、学情分析
九年级学生对于语言知识有了一定积累,能够理解文本基本内容,但大多数学生对 文本的理解多停留在字面意义上,在文本的学习中教师应设计不同层次的活动提高学生 学习和理解,归纳和分析,评价和创新以及写作的能力,在情感态度上积极引导。分层
次设计活动难度,鼓励不同水平的学生积极参与到课堂学习活动中。
三、教学目标
语言能力目标:
通过对三种传统艺术形式 (孔明灯、剪纸、泥塑) 的学习,掌握本课时出现的词汇 与重点句型,了解中国传统艺术。进一步理解含有被动语态的句式, 学会运用这些句式 介绍中国传统文化艺术形式。通过 pair work 以及小组合作参与特定情境下的语言活动 来提高语言表达能力。对于学困生提供范例,引导学生自觉积极的参与到课堂活动中来, 主动发表自己的观点和看法,进行有意义的沟通和交流。
学习能力目标:
运用各种阅读策略,预测文章大意,快速提取文中信息,回答相关问题,关注文体 结构和写作框架。借助思维导图进一步理解文章,获取细节信息并复述课文,通过完成 不同的阅读任务,培养学生发现问题、分析问题、解决问题以及小组合作的能力,养成 良好的阅读习惯。
思维品质目标:
通过学习理解类、应用实践类和迁移创新类等不同层次的活动,引导学生对事物做 出正确的价值判断,在思维发展中推进语言学习,发展思维的灵活性与创造性。
文化意识目标:
通过本课学习引发学生思索不同地区的优秀传统文化,加深学生对于中国传统文化 艺术形式和文化背景的了解,欣赏传统艺术之美,提高民族自豪感,增强文化自信,树立 传统民间艺术的保护和传承意识。培养学生发现美热爱美的能力,提升文明素养和社会 责任感。
