教材分析 This teaching period mainly deal with new words and reading. Students are expected to master the new words and can talk about unusual experiences with some sentence patterns. The teachers are expected to enable students to master some reading skills--skimming.

Knowledge objectives: ① Enable students to acquire the basic usage of some words and phrases. ② Master the sentence pattern: Do you believe in aliens I’m sure something landed in the forest near the hills as I heard a loud noise last night.They heard some voices speaking a strange language, so they hid behind some bushes and kept quiet.2. Skill objectives: ①Understand the general knowledge of a story. ②Use some words and phrases to describe the experience.3. Emotional objectives: Understand the experience about the aliens.4. Thinking quality objectives: Identify the key information to retell and share similar experiences about unusual experiences.
重点 Obtain key information according to the title and illustrations of the passage
难点 Guess the meaning of vocabulary from the context and retell with key information.
